Graphics issue - Turn of HDR?

Hi Folks,

I did something to my graphics settings and now the font / times in the top left hand corner and in menu is completley blown out on brightness. Meaning it cannot be read unless there is a dark background behind it. Further in menu; you know when you have that grey bar hovering over the item you are currently selecting, well that is now so bright that I can't even read the text behind it.

Now what have I done to solve this?

Reverted to different resoloutions
Reverted to defualt graphics settings (low, med, high)
Tried to adjust the gamma and opacity from video settings.
V-Sync
Auto Sync
29 / 59Hz
Different monitors and connections

Apart from this I am lost..

The HDR option is disabeled and it appears what I did to put it this way is not able to be turned back.

Monitors I've tried:
(tried HDMI 1.4 / DP on both)

Dell 4317q
Asus MG28u x 2

System specs:

i7 5820 @4.2Ghz
X99 motherboard chipset
32Gb Ram
500Gb m.2 main drive
Nvidia 1070 8Gb graphics

Hoping one of you awesome folks will be able to point me in the right direction :)

have you tried deleting hardware config file in documents then strarting the game.thats my go to for graphics issues

Well that is interesting. It reverted to 1080p all perfect but when I went to 4k it's now gone extra dark. Might have to keep the res down in future.

The game doesn't have HDR on PC only in console edition.

When I go to Settings, Graphic Options, Video Mode I see Peak Nit Ajustment (HDR) and I believe in advanced there is a option for HDR. I'm using version 1.6 if it helps on PC. Maybe it's meant to always be disabled.

It's just there because PS4 has it and the code isn't adapted but you can't enable it on PC.

Same for me, it's a bug I think: I'm not able to disable HDR option on PC (resolution 4k), graphic is now horrible, there is no way to turn back this option...
