F1 2017
No audio whatsoever
I'm getting absolutely no audio from the game through my speaker, nor my headphones.
Tried re-installing the game but again it ain't working.

Anyone an idea why I get no sound?

i'm assuming that your sound etc worked fine prior to installing the game? Have a look here http://steamcommunity.com/app/515220/discussions/0/1697168437867946007/

These files may be causing a conflict, these are installed -as the OP has said- wihtout our knowledge and in most cases, don't need. I suggest uninstalling them. 1) if you don't use speech recognition and 2) it's bloat :steammocking:

I have checked and I deleted these programs of my computer.
Restarted my PC afterwards and booted up the game... still nothing :\

Do you have audio through HDMI and a dedicated sound card? Right click your sound icon and go to playback devices. You should see a green tick through available audio output devices? One should be your monitor name and HDMI (if you have that) the other would be your sound card name ie ASUS Xonar DGX -being mine. Right click the one you use (HDMI i have outputting through my TV/Monitor speakers) The sound card i have headphone plugged in. Right click and configure and Test the device which is appropriate to the one you are using. If you have both ticked try disabling the one you don't want to use and see if that works? The only other thing i know to try is go into the games advanced Audio and you can select automatic sound, headphones, 7/1,5/1 etc it will if you continue cycling it pick out your sound card/device. see if that works. i suggest selecting it and quitting the game and/or rebooting see if that works.

I have game audio but as soon as the race starts it plays a stuttering sound and I lose all audio. So no car sounds or anything. It comes back when the race ends and it plays a cutscene. Never had this issue with any other game. Tried launching it optimized through Nvidia GeForce Experience and still no luck. Not to mention the constant stuttering and fps drops no matter what graphics settings I use. Not a positive free weekend, won't be buying it sadly.

Go back into your sound icon , right clicking it. Select the green tick enabled audio output device that your using. Right click on it go to properties then advanced -select 16bit 44100Hz CD Quality. I suspect you have onboard sound and it's being taxed by CPU usage, rather than a dedicated sound card (which i have) By lowering it's highest quality it reduces the CPU cycles used to drive the onboard. Try it

Someone here updated their onboard sound RealTek driver and it fixed it

Drivers here
select 64bit win 10 -you do have Win 10 64bit? and not the 32bit one!!

No, I do not use HDMI. I use a DVI-D (because my monitor is quite aged and doesn't support HDMI (unless I use a convert it or something) and the sound comes from stereo speakers.

Update the Realtek drivers then?

Looks like that did the trick :)

Well there you go.
Looks like One Hit Wonder, possibly missed out on the game because they never updated sound drivers. It pays to try all work arounds, I never give in. 👍

I SOLVED MY PROBLEM TODAY, THE SAME AS THE #4 ON THIS TOPIC: THE PROBLEM WAS RELATED WITH THE HEADSET DEFAULT FREQUENCY WHICH I SET TO 16 BITS 44100HZ AND DISABLED ANY CUSTOM ENHANCEMENT FROM THE HEADSET AS EQ, SUPRESSION...
