I added new paint to Williams' car and after removing it my save-game back up and running, it looks like this year's game is more limited for mods :steamfacepalm:

Remove mods if you have any. Try running steam/game as admin. Windows 10?

Yeah, I had installed a new painting for the team williams and after that my game was not saving, I remove the mod and it came back to work: D

I play under Win 7. I have no mods. And yet my game disappears as soon as I finish the game. But if I leave the career and go back in, he is there. He is saved in any case. But when I finish the game then he's gone. I think it is a data bank error from Codemaster.

I have the same problem

There could be a solution to this. You can not use the special helmets (with the name of the designer). Only the conventional and even that may not edit it. Otherwise the program recognizes it as Mod or Cheat or something and does not store. I have times made different test and could store with the helmet 1 and 4. Maybe someone helps. Because as it seems, the Codemaster does not seem to interest.

Win 7. No mods. Even try with the helmets solution, I have the same problem. Someone else?
Have you tried running the game as an admin?

Try doing the following. It worked for me:

Find your "F1_2017.exe" by right-clicking on F1 2017 in your steam libary and then clicking on properties.

Click on the local files tab, then click on browse local files. A new window appears. You should be able to find F1_2017.exe somewhere in that window. You might have to scroll down to find it.

When you do, right-click on it and click on properties. A new window should appear.

Find the tab that says "Compatibility" and click on it. At the bottom there should be a list of options that you can choose from.

Find the option labelled "run this program as an administrator".

Make sure that the tick box next to it is filled. If it isn't, then click on it and then click OK. The game should now save. You might also get UAC (User Account Control) asking if you want to make any changes to your computer. Click Yes or allow.

When you launch the game UAC might ask if you want the program to make changes to your computer, Click Yes or Allow.

Hopes this helps.

I suggest that everyone with save game problems go to official forums, here: http://forums.codemasters.com/categories/f1-games-general-discussion
and make a big noise.
Also try to close any possible background programs like screen recorders, anti virus etc. Just to make sure anything isn't messing with the game.
