Ah, well you should definitely get a wheel, but if you really wanna use the gamepad... Try setting the Steering Deadzone to 10-12, and the Steering Linearity between 60-80, maybe more, and Steering Saturation to 0.

yea i set my steering linearity to 70 and saturation to 45 not sure bou tthe deadzones the driving got better with these changes but the gas feels really really strong so any suggestions on the saturation for that? and i cant use a wheel im perma disabled so iv never driven a car in my life so i tried using a wheel and just could not ajust i play alot of racing games with a controller just not good at setting them up

If the throttle is too aggressive, and engaging too early, try increasing the Throttle Linearity to about 50%. If you play other racing games like Assetto Corsa, you'll understand how the Linearity setting is like the Gamma setting in AC. It's a logarithmic curve setting, so that small inputs create less effect, but larger inputs will gradually increase more rapidly. The higher the linearity setting, the more exaggerated the effect, and the more you'll have to press the throttle to get the same throttle position. Don't use saturation too much because it primarily counteracts the linearity effect. I've tried using a large linearity and large saturation, hoping that it would create a compression effect, but it doesn't seem to, just seems to counter the linearity setting. Only use the saturation setting if your input is not reaching 100%, like if you press the throttle and it only reaches 95%, then use maybe 4 to 6 saturation so that it makes your throttle reach 100%.
