Game Crashing Issues

No, not crashes in the game, I mean the GAME is crashing down. At some points, the screen just turns black and after about 30 seconds I stare at the desktop of my PC. This happens mostly after cutscenes (at the end of the race, in the Career mode (I can't even play Career mode, because the game always crashes after the first cutscene)) and also when I was about to enter an online race. Anybody experiences the same problems?

Same problem here. But it started in Bahrain after the race. When i´m loading, there is the "please wait" notification, the game freezes and crashes afterwards. My Games folder deleting doesn´t work. Pls help

Same problem here, First Time it crashed after 20 min. Now i am not able to start the game. Instant crash.

Crashes in race events, crashes in kareer mode, well done when you play 100% races with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ honda and have 4 laps to go... baaaammmm

Same here, crashed after practice in Melbourne, after reinstall it crashes after the first cutscene

I have the same problem here in Career mode. After the talk about the contract, the screen turns black and then after some time it exits to desktop. I've tried running it in different settings, but no difference in outcome

I contacted the Codemasters customer service, with DirectX diagnostics of my PC. Currently waiting for a response...

I'm not sure if that's the reason. At least in my case, other game modes run with no problem. I've been doing time trials all afternoon. It rather seems to be a glitch, for whatever reason the game will not land into the next screen (in my case it won't go to the driver's hub)

I recieved a reply from Codemasters customer service, which said that it's most likely due to my laptop's weak GPU. My game kept crashing down randomly after and before races, at the beginning of career mode,...

I fixed my crashes by starting the game as admin and install the game where your steam folder is.

i dont think so i can run f1 2016 1366x768 medium fps:32 avaraje and this game have problem

I had this problem until I started the game from within the steam app. It ran a couple of small updates, has worked fine since

I also contacted the developers and sent them a DXDIAG.txt with my specs & drivers. They are currently working on this issue, there will be a patch coming out. Date unknown.

@Caddiemonster who do you start the game from the steam app? Loading the steam app on your smartphone, but how did you start the game from this app?


All in all, Unfortunately we all have to wait until they release the patch for F1 2017.

I got the same Issue and i can guarantee you its not the GPU i got a good GPU and can play on Max Settings in 1080p at around 60fps and the game still closes while in race... frustrating
