if someone else has this issue with a realtek soundcard change output to 5.1 or 7.1 depending on your setup

Thank you! :steamhappy:
I had serious audio problems, already from the traffic light scratched to the point of not feeling the original sound. Even in the initial video scratched a lot and did not feel the music. I had the maximum sound card setting (24bit 192000hz) now with "24bit 48000hz" is perfect! : D
Thank you! :steamhappy:

How did you change the Hz? My sound is scratching too, it's so annoying that I can't play normally :c

I've had the problem of sound (except voice) cutting out in the garage just as I was about to go to the track. It seemed to be related to whatever sound was played before that. I removed all the music and user interface sound banks from the "(wherever your Steam installation is)\steamapps\common\F1 2017\audio\soundbanks" folder. You still get the intro sounds, but no music, and so far it has been working. Mind you, I only did this recently, so copy the files to another folder just to be safe.

These are the files I removed (put in another folder):

music_convolution.bnk
music_frontend.bnk
music_persistent.bnk
music_track.bnk
ui_boot.bnk
ui_persistent.bnk
ui_track.bnk

Thank you Rockiteer but it still doesn't work for me. I don't know what to do... I have still no sound in-game.

Alt + TAB and go back to game. Sounds should be back. If not, try again.
