Few suggestions:

-Dynamic weather
-Free Roam
-option to change speed units to mph on map
-set your own timetable targets for created routes
-more use for the 5c on ticket machine
-Daily, Weekly and Monthly challenges with leaderboard and rewards
-beable to place in game ads on buses and still have your own design like on BS16
-Set own bus ticket prices with cap limit
The things that I think could be either improved or added.
1.Further improvement of AI. That is from what I noticed in the game (maybe I just suck at driving and all but still ;) )
1.A.Overtaking cars would go back into lane just in front of the bus, while slowing down and leaving me with no time to react. Having this ocassionally is fine but from what I saw it would almost always be the same scenario. I pay attention to the road ahead I notice car on my right and it slams back into the lane. I mean over time I learned to pay attention to that, but it still happens. And I know it's extra coding but having variety of behaviors would be great.
1.B.Pedestrians would basically keep on walking on the crossing areas no matter if cars are moving or not. At times I hit one when I started to move and one "decided" to cross the road right in front. Again ocassional ones are fine but they seem like zombies.
2.Fines for damage I believe could be polished out. It seems to me that I can have a head on collision driving about 40 KM/H and pay under $2000 and then what seems to be minor scratch and have a bill for $40000, which at times there is no way to make up during the route. Maybe have a review of what have happened and what "got damaged" and all that. Maybe even with video evidence, as while I'm driving I can't always see what happened and since it's just a game there are no visual evidences to examine afterwards.
3.With connection with 2 maybe having a recording of a route itself that could be saved later on to a hard drive? Say have 10 last routes driven in game kept by the game itself and then the player can save them for good if wanting to, without the need of outside software.
4.Being able to assign drivers to shifts. Say day, night and weekend shift and also from which end of the route the driver starts.
5.Being able to make loop routes especially for the drivers and having clockwise/counterclockwise dirrections in shift scheduling.
6.All those things other mentioned. Those 5 either bugged me the most or I missed in other posts. Keep on doing great work ;)

LOOP option dosn't work. It only takes you back to the starting bus stop but then ends the route. I wanted to drive the route twice but can't. Please fix. :)

The potholes should be removed or have an option to disable. If you're driving at with a little speed (70 zone, which is where they mostly are), by the time you see them it's too late. Tired of getting penalized for hitting potholes. Only alternative seems to be to drive slow everywhere
Lojza Jun 30, 2018 @ 3:27am
Only two suggestions:
1.Name the stop according to yourself (something like "Main Station" no no no it wold be "Station"
2.Reporting stops by themselves
Sorry for grammar its from translator :D
(And at Connected the last mission...I can't complete it :steamsad::steamsad:)
Yes and you can do a map of Sunny Springs :))

Hallo Heartchers

was für Ideen hättest denn du?
Heartchers Jun 30, 2018 @ 5:10am

I would love to see real time schedules in this. I reckon if you combime the Omsi 2 real time bus schedules with the user friendliness of this game, that game could sweep the bus simulation genre.

Brusz_Willys Jun 30, 2018 @ 6:20am
First of all let me start with this: I really enjoyed this game. I liked the buses, the concept and I could live the interesting AI. Right now I would not recommend this to someone who is not a huge bus fan, but this has the potential to become the ETS2 of bus sims – an accessible, but fairly realistic game. There are a few major and minor things to work out, we will see whether the team has the commitment and resources to make this into a great bus sim.

The main problems
  • Performance: it is garbage right now, and it only got worse with the update. I understand this may be a hard issue to track down, but it is beyond bad now. The average FPS for me is about 30, in the countryside I max out at 45, in the inner city it frequently drops down to the teens, sometimes even into the single digits. That is unacceptable for an i7 4790K, GTX 970 and 8GB system at 1080p.
  • Crashes: I did have a number of crashes and freezes, that is not great in a sim, that has no save or checkpoint system when you are actually driving. I am happy that I did not lose other progress, but you should not lose long stretches of driving because of crashes. When I was trying to get the bugged Ka-ching on my 78 stop route in round trip mode the game crashed at 3.5 hours into the drive. And thus my whole evening’s work was lost…

Endgame
This is one of the main problems, but it deserves it’s own section! I finished all the missions, now I only have to get the previously bugged Ka-ching and to get to level 25. But what can I do afterwards? I see no real possibility to extend the game into an endless mode as it is now. Why would I drive the same routes over and over, when I can not do a thing with the ridiculous amount of money that I get. Sure, I will play around with the lines and possibly delete all of them just to create better optimized ones. But the current level cap means that I will have to create a ton of lines with only the minimum four stops, so that I can have the most drivers working for me. Sure, I can try to make them longer by having one stop in the city, one in the south, one somewhere far east and one somewhere north. But that’s not very realistic, even for express lines.
Some ideas for fixing this:
  • Raising the level cap of stops could help.
  • Real travel patterns: Having some artificial demand could also help, for example a layer that tells you in which directions people really want to travel (e.g.: nobody wants to travel from the Steineck Chapel to the Old Sawmill, you should not serve those to stations on the same line.). This would really add a strategic element to the game, especially if these demands would shift over time, so you have to adjust your lines. For example previously many people wanted to travel between Harbor Admininstration and Astra Promenade, but now people favour the research center, so you should include that stop.
  • Buying and maintaining the garages
  • Extending the map or adding new maps
  • Buses get more expensive to maintain with time, so you have to replace them.

Vehicles
  • Realistic air brakes: right now the brakes are just weak, not realistic. The real buses can brake so hard, that everyone falls off their seats. That is not possible right now. There should be a delay of the pneumatic system, but after the pressure is there, you should be able to really brake hard.
  • Retarder when braking: This is just a strong feeling, but upon my experience when you slam on the brakes, the game forgets to add the retarder effect. That is not realistic. In my experience I can slow down more quickly by just lifting my foot from the gas and letting the retarder work its magic at setting 3. When I step on the brakes, the bus seems to slow down much slower and I easily overshoot my target stopping point. With the retarder I never miss it.
  • Controllable retarder: you should be able to adjust it in both directions easily – this would add more depth to the game.
  • Fuel economy: I don’t care for refuelling, as that is done only at the garage, not in the course of the day. But a simulation of fuel economy would be nice (even though ETS2 still does not have a proper system for this). I know this is a long shot, but that could have an influence on your costs.
  • Maintenance: I don’t see the need for breakdowns, as you make so much money all the time that you should never be cheap about maintenance, hence you should never run into issues. But it should be more expensive to maintain the busses as they get older, to a point where it would be advisable to just replace them. That would also help with longevity.
  • Every one of these vehicles has daytime running lights in the real world. In the city that should be enough. I would turn on the low beams outside the city, but that’s just me. And of course, you should be penalized if you don’t use the low beams at night.
  • Low beams at night: they are weak and make the road shine like it rained. This could be improved.
  • Bugs: please fix the small bugs of the buses! Both Lion’s City buses have a horrible hitbox way in front of the right mirror. The panes in the Lion’s City G’s left mirror are mixed up, they should be switched. The Citaro G’s rear section automatically gets damaged on speed bumps. The short Urbanway’s transmission never seems to find the higher gear, the engine just screams past the green zone.

Simulation
  • AI: I believe there is room for improvement in the vehicles’ and peds’ AI :)
  • Driving penalties: after the devs fix the brakes, they should also implement the harsh braking penalty upon just slamming on the brake pedal, instead of using it normally. Erratic steering and harsh cornering should also be penalized!
  • Rear door exit only: no passenger should ever leave the bus at the front door, please use the rear doors for exiting. I can only see one possible exception, the forgetful people who ask you to open door (thank you devs for the option for disabling this dumb behaviour, here the driver gets fined for up to 100 euros upon opening the door in these kinds of situations).
  • Front door boarding only: This is more realistic, since we are selling tickets and especially on rural lines and night services. This should be an option on the trip screen, as it does not make sense with a 5 door articulated bus on a busy line.
  • Skipping stops: if there is no passenger at the stop and no one wants to get off the bus, you can just skip the stop – that is what they do in real life. Even some trams can do this here.
  • More realistic travel times between stops: between to ends of the map the game gives me about 15 minutes to get to the next stop – I can travel most of the way with constant 70, so I arrive 5 minutes early, and then just have to walk around IRL. And when there are two stops relatively close to each other (say two or three blocks), the game gives me enough time to get there with constant 50 – but I have to sell tickets and because the AI really bottlenecks some junctions, you have to spend some 30 seconds to a whole minute just to clear one intersection, so you arrive two minutes late. More realistic calculation (traffic, tickets etc.) should be used for this. Or the user should be able modify the timetable of an already driven route.
  • Lights on for the passengers: in the daytime they don’t turn on the lights in my country. Why should they? Passengers should only complain about this if it’s dark outside. And you should be penalized in the scoring if you forget to turn on the lights for them at night.
  • HVAC system: you should be penalized if the system is not on and it’s too cold or hot inside.
  • Passengers should not pay a 2 euro ticket with a 20 bill.
  • More variation: more random events on the streets (full lane closures for example, not just these half-lane obstacles; emergency vehicles; closed off streets because of concerts or parades) and maybe on the bus too. I know this may not be easy, but in my opinion two of them are not realistic (exiting outside of a stop, leaving valuable behind), so I turned them off. The valuable could be a real thing at the last station, but not out on the line. I rarely had to use the ramp in the game, and the guy always only travelled exactly one stop. Also you could add other ped models in the wheelchair and child buggies to mix it up.

Irritating penalties
  • Pedestrians should never just forget themselves between the bus and the curb! You have to literally inch out of the stop to not hit them.
  • If a car turns into the street in front of you inside your braking zone, you should not be penalized.
  • Peds should not suicide! I don’t care that they decide only at the last second, that they want to cross the road, but they should not be stepping out to the street when there is a bus coming with 50 less than ten meters away.
  • If the ped gets stuck somewhere, it should give up on trying to enter the bus. I got penalized multiple times for leaving passengers behind, when I did not. If everyone gets off (at the front door, mind you…), and after that I sell three tickets, look in the mirror, and can’t see a single soul moving on the sidewalk, then no one wants to get on the bus! I don’t care if the ped got stuck behind the bus shelter, that’s not my problem! You had plenty of time to get on the bus, it is not my fault that you did not succeed.
  • Driving with the turn signal on: you should use your turn signal to change into the left turn lane, and to then turn left. Please don’t tell me not to. I can leave on my right signal on the off-ramp of the highway, as I am leaving that road. Please don’t tell me that I have to turn it off the moment I switched lanes.

UI, content
  • Trip selection:
    - I already mentioned the front door boarding only option.
    - Clear overview of buses: which bus is used by which line and driver, maybe some sorting – or at least a filter for currently not assigned buses.
    - Time and weather: there should be separate settings for these, and random should be one of them in both cases. There should be a lot more finetuning for time (either a real clock or more options, not just day and night). Dynamic weather would be nice.
  • Wheel: every control should be mappable to the steering wheel as well.
  • Audio: I do love the silly small talk of the passengers, I would love to hear more! And I also understand that some people just don’t get that Winter of Passion is the greatest show on earth, so for them muting would be welcome.
  • Ped and car models: just a few more would really make the world more believable. The different colours mix up the peds nicely, but the cars are way to repetitive. I can not believe that everyone only drives Astras, Megánes, Swifts and Legends. After the performance problems have been solved, maybe some nicer models could be in order (the trucks are especially low quality), they really let down the beautiful city. And please remove the lens flare from the taillights if I have that setting turned off. My eyes are not yet cameras.

Map
  • The end of the on-ramp to the highway, where you actually have to switch lanes to enter the freeway, is unrealistically short.
  • While potholes are irritating, they would be more tolerable if they were more clearly distinguishable from further away. Now you have a second to react to them.
  • Westfield-Corntowers stop: if you are going into the city, sometimes the bus will slide down the road after you have stopped, even with activated parking brake. And the people are already standing in the doorway, so you can’t close them. Reversing is the only way to stop this, as that stop the forward movement of the vehicle.
  • Hills: the visual gradient of the hills and the loss of speed is not proportional. The buses seem to slow down way more than they should.
  • Extending the existing map or adding another map(s): I do believe these could work as DLC, and extend the game’s longevity.

Sorry for the wall of text, I know some of these have already been mentioned, but I thought I could reaffirm those. I do see great potential in this game. I love the buses, the concept, the accessibility. The city is beautiful and nicely crafted. I love that the game comes with head-tracking support at launch. I feel like it has the same chance as ETS2 did five years ago. It was clearly not the great sim that it is today, but it was a solid foundation to build upon – and they did. The foundation is there in this case as well, but it still needs work, or it will not live long and prosper. I would love if BS18 could be improved to the point, where it is an amazing sim and a joy to play. Then it would rule this niche segment.

I support this wish from DrPepper:
- To be able to choose to only appear virtual mirror of one side or another

And what I want:
