Thus a demo would be really cool to check if it is ok before I buy it
Well don't forget that Steam offers you a two hour window for refunds if it's not suitable for you.
Steam has the 2h timeframe to return a game, but usually you see the flaws after more than 2h; so a demo is like shooting on your foot; if you sell software :)
This game is OK as simulation (it is a big word to say simulation; if you play games like Assetto corsa or other driving simulations); and as arcade is fun to play for a bit. Performances are getting better but there are a ton of problems with the whole game; so watch some videos online to see if you can live with these issues or not.
Beside Fernbus, which is another slugfest of performances issues, this is the only other bus game that is on the market these days; so your choice range is pretty limited.
