Can't say I did enjoy this DLC; good effort but the outcome is pretty lackluster. The areas are small, nicely crafted, with some questionable low poly assets; no extra gameplay beside making new routes (10 hours of gameplay? Then ETS2 has 200 hours, if we consider how long it takes to complete a route; the gameplay should be measured by engagement and missions complexity; not just in how long it takes to make a route as per mission description, and then drive on it).

It would be so easy to increase longevity and fun in this game, if only you would look at other "sims" and take some clues about how to implement some interesting challenges/scenarios, that goes beyond the "follow what the mission ask you to do, and drive the route".

9 for the effort, 5 for the outcome.

With all due respect, please keep in mind that this DLC was planned as a map extension (roadmap: https://trello.com/b/EwaZY24n/bus-simulator-18-roadmap-pc). I do not think that this kind of DLC would reasonably add new game features because changing the gameplay would mean changing the base game. They already know how to create the world. so, it is logical to create some more content.

Even if you factor out any changes to the gameplay; which while requiring changes in the base game, would still be reasonable (look at the DLC for Fernbus, where they added features not present in the main game; that game is made with the same engine as BS18).

Let's just consider the map: it has 2 areas, which while expanding the map, are not even close to half of what the game already offer; for half the price of the full game, you would expect 50% of the content the game has. Instead you get close to 20% That is not economically advantageous.

While I like the DLC from the perspective of "it is better than nothing", it still make me think that the money you pay are not giving you much return. Don't want to compare to other games; but for 15 bucks you can get a full indie game, with much more content than just a map expansion. That's why I was disappointed.

i think the dlc is good but some modifications needed like upgrade the bus station, main station and carpenters gate to higher levels as route have to be deleted to or lots of buses removed to make space also saying about gameplay more missions ie get 5 stars on routes timing missions and even some fun missions which could include getting to certain bus stops in a certain time without fines or accidents etc

I am just only expecting the map expansion would be having a next phase as soon as possible.

Is there a plan to fix the bus braking and handling? I only ask because on one run I lost control of the citaro G and drove into a divider.

In game development, you can't give exact dates, unless you are a top company like EA or Ubisoft; where they crunch and drain the life out of people, to hit deadlines.

This is a small company, and I am already surprised in noticing that more or less, they put out things when they say they do; even if that means "quarters".

Also, features are implemented based on how many people request them. if 10 people want triple monitor support, that won't come out anytime soon, compared to other features. If that means loose a customer; they still gain because they retain the other 99 that wanted a feature that they are releasing.

It is frustrating to expect something and wait forever to get it, I understand that; although unless you own the company; it is quite hard to get to the point where you ask something and expect it to be done and fast :)
