Why do i get sick playing this game?
I own it on another platform and it makes me sick, is it something about the lights and lsd nature of the game or what?

The art design is totally demented even by Bloober standards. Between the constant perspective shifts and flashing lights it's no wonder some people get sick. Play it on a big screen in dim lighting if at all. If it really makes you uncomfortable don't play, gaming is a hobby that's supposed to make you happy.

If you are experiencing headaches, nausea, dizzyness etc, perhaps this thread can help. Observer has proven itself to cause such problems for more than a few people.

On a personal note; I love the art style, it's amazing.

I understand why i'm being sick with this game. It's because the commands for opening doors and things are the same as moving (mouse). When i open something i move the mouse but my brain expects the camera to move, because it associates mouse with movement. And i really feel it. Any time i open something, my eyes don't understand why camera doesn't move. And after an hour opening doors, i feel nauseous.

Then avoid all Bloober games because they use the same mechanic in all their titles, plus they LOVE doors, cabinets, and drawers @@

I checked that thread and all linked threads to it and nobody had any useful answers.

It's the low FOV. It's always the low FOV - weird heavy feeling in your eyeballs? Nausea? Slight dizziness? Strange weariness but you're not actually sleepy?

It's eyestrain/motion sickness caused by low FOV.

I just had to stop playing the game a few minutes in for this very reason.

It doesn't help that the environments are very densely detailed, with lots of flickering movement - essentially, for healthy viewing, your brain/eyes need some peripheral vision to give you a sense of context for the motion.

If there's no way to actually change the game's FOV, all you can do is A) stop playing or B) acquire some sort of controller, and sit much further away from the screen. Like, as far away as if you were playing a console game from your sofa.
