Question about Cheat Code achievement

I haven't beaten the game yet but plan to get all achievements. Will I find the cheat code in the game or is it external? Just wondering if I should keep an eye out.

I've tried, but I can't get the cheat code to work. I've tried the Konami code at the main menu, the intro story cutscene, the overworld, during gameplay, and at the pause menu.

I've tried both using Z & X and A & B, but to no avail.

Should I be trying a different code?

Please help, and thank you.
