Can someone explain why im in the roof?(HTC VIVE)

haven't even gotten to play because I am spawning with the floor about 3 feet about where it should be. There doesn't seem to be a recalibrate floor option either.

Did you try resetting your camera by holding down the pause button? Start if using Xbox Controller, Option if using PS4 Controller

TwoLeggedCat, I had this problem with the Rift and was able to resolve it by quitting, going back to steam and choosing "Play Stifled", then choosing the "Launch with Oculus" mode instead of just the "Play Stifled" mode. If you choose the "Launch with Steam VR" (since you are Vive) mode it might fix your issue.

Baron's solution doesn't help for the vive either and the camera doesn't recalibrate at all when holding down the pause button.

Was your calibration done in standing or sitting position?

standing position, cause i have my vive setup for roomscale.

treid sitting down on the floor and pressing recalibrate while sitting, but didn't seem to change the height of my view in any way.

Trying holding down the Menu button on the Xbox Controller and see if that works.

I have the exact same issue. It seems like no matter what, the game reads the floor level as being head height. This means anyone with a vive has to literally "plank" on the ground at floor level to play this game.

I tried streaming this recently, but could not as this height bug makes it unplayable. See attached:
