Getting Senran Kagura to work with a Dance Pad
Hey, all! I'm on a quest to get this thing to work with my Precision Dance Pad Omega TX USB dancepads for the PC. As far as I can tell, I'm currently screwed either way.

1) The game recognizes my controller input, but only for some of the keys. I have two inputs that do not map to anything in game. I believe they are either POV hat controls or trigger button controls (the ones that don't have binary input, but rather a percentage of on or off like the triggers on a 360 controller). So, in that case, I can't play the game since some of the controls are impossible. Fairly certain that would be something in the game code-wise and the developers would need to patch it.

2) I can configure the entire dance pad for the game via Joy2Key, so that method would work. However, in game, after configuring the keys, it does not use the keyboard inputs at all for the game. My assumption is that is because it detects a USB gamepad connected and by default uses that, and does NOT accept input from anything else in this case. So I would need to somehow mask the gamepad from the game's detection, but still have it be usable to Joy2Key.

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just curious, will you even be able to play it with a dance pad though? I'm asking because the game uses the d-pad AND buttons as inputs, not just four directions.

Map the arrows to up down left right.
Map Square Cross Triangle Circle to Up Left, Down Left, Up Right, Down Right.

The Omega TX has 9 panels for input plus start and select. So yes, it should be able to do it just fine, at least for easy and normal.

Sounds counter-intuitive, but that's probably just me :)

I mean, considering Crypt of the Necrodancer has the same kind of features and the controls as just as complicated, there's definitely an audience for it. And there's plenty of people out there playing games that aren't meant for a dance pad ON a dance pad (like Nario). But yeah, it's not for everyone I guess.

Will do! I've also reached out to XSEED's twitter about it. I should probably hit up Marvelous' twitter as well, since either case probably requires some kind of code mod.
