How can I defeat The First Mistake?

I tried a lot of times but I still can't beat it.

I watched some videos. People get close to its left hand and beat the crap out of it while they avoid its right hand attack and its left hand smash. I tried to do the same, but he keeps summoning that ghost tentacle even if I'm close to its hand.

I can avoid both right hand's attack and left hand's smash, but I still don't know how can I avoid the ghost tentacle.

Stay by his left hand, you want either the sweep, or the smash, you can tell what he's doing by learning what telegraphing leads to what attack. After he sweeps and after he's smashed both his hands down (BOTH, when he slams the first hand down it still deals damage until he's slammed his other), you run in and get about two hits on his hand. When he puts his right hand into the ground, you bail. Start running and try to get a quick audio cue on where the tentacle spawned and just roll 2 or 3 times in the opposite direction.

I'm stuck on the Cloud Water fight and desperately need help, I don't want to start from the beginning! It seems like you have to hit the ghost once to spawn the real boss momentarily and then you strike her when she's visible, but the ghost hits you when you're close and the raining icicles are just too much. Using the third eye I see a sequence of gestures on the outside of the boss arena but is that a way to beat the boss, or not relevant at all until later??

You can find this sequence of gestures in every boss. When you use these sequences in the portal (way up the stairway that you find in the swamp) you'll be teleported to the boss that correspond the sequence.

To beat Cloud Water I kept running from the replica and used the gun when the original Cloud Water appears..
