Alice VR looks pixly on my HTC Vive/GTX 1080
Hi,

I want to enjoy Alice VR to the maximum extent. However, in the graphics options there is no way to enable supersamplig. Right now it looks like it is on 0.5x supersampling rate, not even at the Vive's default resolution. My SS is set to 1.3x in SteamVR but Alice VR doesnt look good at all. Am I missing something or is it supposed to look this pixly?

Is it possible to walk around in room scale?

steamvr super sampling don't have effect on unreal engine 4.
We need ingame super sampling and possibility to turn off Anti aliasing.
it's a required option for all unreal 4 vr games

This seems to be a major issue with many VR games. They just seem to lower the render resolution to hit that 90fps sweetspot rather than properly optimize or adjust graphics for the Vives native res.

At least give the option to Supersample or run at the native resolution.

Was about to buy it until i read this! This is the exact same reason i refunded Loading Human!

Too low resolution through the headset... when must of us with Vives have a powerful computer to run them...

Needs supersampling options added, then ill be purchasing

It might be like The Solus Project. SS completely destroys performance to unplayable levels in outdoor areas. Even on a high end pc. It looks horrible without it though.

I've not had time to try it yet but I'm already considering refunding if it's anywhere near as bad as The Solus Project without Supersampling.

I have Solus and it runs perfect on mine with high supersampling inside and outside. Plus its an option, its not something everyone has to use, its there for those of us that can

It was fine for me until I reached the crashed beacon thing on the hill. Where you have to repair it. It was unplayable with SS up there.
I have a pretty heavily oc 980ti/ i7 4790k. Without SS it just looks too bad to enjoy

How did you increase the SS ?

Help, I want to play this on 1.8 or something, not 0 SS.

But you wrote that you did, only it was too slow. So how did you change the SS setting then?

That was for The Solus Project. I was simply pointing out maybe they just didn't add a SS option because like with Solus it may have major FPS problems even on capable rigs.

I think they use the same engine...

This looks exactly like The Solus Project without supersampling unfortunately...
