1. was a good puzzle type game with an interesting story.
2. got boring very quickly
3. crashes all the time
Edit, 3 seems stable now ish. One crash since, it seems my at the time network instability was causing issues for some unknown reason. Not saying the game is at fault it may have cause some issue with windows itself.
Edit Edit, after messing with my home network again, Lucius played through fine.
The game was never at fault as such, but it is just an example of how a completely unrelated thing can affect a game because of something happening in the background.
The final 4 kills are all sort of "boss" fights with slightly different mechanics and I found it to be a excellent way to end the game. The whole game is sold, but the ending is superb.
Also there are scenes where the NPCs will walk into a room and because they're in bit form, they look way too serious so it ends up being unintentionally comedic. Especially after playing the 1st game with how serious the subject matter is, it just across as funny to me. Honestly I'm super happy they decided to do Demake. It's probably one of the top 20 purchases I've made on this platform.
Jed, Alastor... Mother and Susan, i think her name was Susan (the girl that uncle Tom was banging).
2nd game was a solid sandbox, i loved it, it didn't had enough truly unique kill's, coz in 1st game every kill is unlike other's. But i enjoyed variety of ways Lucius could interact with things, combine items and use power's, only down sides are map and No Fireballs. You can't just set someone on fire, you gotta make preparations for it, even on maxed out everything you can't do that. Map is just maze, but locations are interesting, and idk, partialy creepy and cosy at the same time, thanks to music i guess.
Right now playing 3rd game, from gameplay seems we are back in the square one, it's a "quest" game, no more sandbox, but Winterhill is fine city, have aesthetics to it, and you can fkn Fly as a crow which is epic, can't say if i gonna get trycicle soon, because it's a legend of a vehicle. I'd say 3rd game as good as first one, presentation is fantastic for real.
Lucius 1 is most polished and has cool atmosphere, but its a puzzle game with only one solution to each dilemma. So there's very little replay value imo.
Lucius II has way more freedom to explore and to find different solutions, but that means it also doesn't look as polished.
I have a lot to say about the Lucius trilogy; it's been a fascination of mine for a few years at this point. I'm thinking of possibly making a video in the future on the topic.
