Issue with Xbox controllers (multiplayer PC)

Hello Support,

When inviting another player on my LAN to my lobby, they are unable to use their xbox controlers. I have both standard and bluetooth xbox controllers. Whoever initiates the lobby can use their controller just fine. But anyone who connects to it through LAN will NOT be able to use their controller. I have attempted the following

Restarting the game
Restartng Steam
Restarting the computers affected (which is ANY computer that joins the lobby)
Disabling/re-enabling bluetooth
Updating drivers

This was a critical gameplay feature to my friends and I when buying this game. I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

Have them try clicking the (tiny) keyboard icon on the top right of their character select screen. That button toggles between keyboard and any active controllers. I had to add it for just this scenario - since you can't accept a Steam invite from a controller. It's on my todo list to make this button more obvious.

I'll have to try that too because eariler in one game I was host and could use controller. But anyone who joined could not. Then when I joined the game, again only the host could use it.

I thought I seen an icon but wasn't sure what it was for lol

Did it work? Have no one to test it with atm.

Just tried this wtih two other players and it seems to work. Have to choose character with keyboard and mouse. When changing to the controller to choose a character it adds a guest.
