Games more like Hanzo Good Ending?
I didn't want to hijack the other thread that was asking for bittersweet angst. I want the opposite! :D: I need more of that beautiful slow burn; healthy, mutual growth and understanding and less angst, more happiness. Any other otoge like that? I also don't mind yuri recommendations along these lines. Thank you!

Also, thank you to whoever on the writing team wrote Hanzo. You are truly a master at your art. I can't wait to see what else you do and I hope to read about more characters/routes like his :Hanzou:

I only play Nier Apr 16, 2017 @ 12:13pm
Goemon's route is pretty good in this aspect too, it's not as slow but healthy and developed.
Amnesia's Kent has a similar slow burn but healthy feel, it's probably the only route I liked in that game tbh lol.
Do you have a Vita or can read japanese?

If you're into Regency romances, you should play "The Lady's Choice". IT'S FREE and really good. Basically, a Jane Austen novel made into otome. Some drama, yes (because MARRIAGE AND OH, ENGLISH SOCIETY BEING ENGLISH SOCIETY) but you won't find a greek tragedy here. Also, it's really easy to get the happy endings. No stress. You can choose the MC's personality between witty, hot-headed, kind or formal (or anything in between) and the characters will treat you differently if you max some of those stats ^^

Another recommendation: "Queen's Gambit". It's from Voltage and REALLY good. MC is a badass spy who kicks ass. You buy the routes separatly, and I only recommend this game for the route with MC's best friend and partner. It has everything you're looking for: a healthy and realistic relationship and characters that develop through the story. Expect lots of action, mistery and explosions. There's other 3 routes, one woman and two men. The other two men were... MEH, I wouldn't pay for them. The woman's route seems interesting enough, but I didn't play hers so I don't know.

The Hanzo route is probably the best route ive ever played in a game. I dont think i'll ever play one as good as it again ._.

I cant think of one exactly like it but you should check Re:Birthday song out, its been fan translated and theres a couple of intense routes on theres that remind of of Hanzo :3

Mmh Hanzo's route reminded me how Ebihara's route was handled in 'In Your Arms Tonight', a mobage by Voltage. It's slow burn-ish and the focus is on growth and respect. You can try out the first chapter for free before purchasing the route!

I haven't played Hanzo's route yet, but I would definitely recommend Hustle Cat if you're looking for something sweet, healthy, and light hearted.
If you have a Vita I'd also recommend Victor's route in Code: Realize. He's so sweet and it's a healthy relationship. Ahh, I love him. u 3u

I second Kent from Amnesia, and Victor from Code Realize. If you get a vita I definitely reccomend Norn9. It is one of my daughter's favorites and she dislikes the anst. Heishi is her favorite. Ozmafia is really fluffy and pretty if you can handle a really dense MC. Axel was my favorite from that one but Caramia and Scarlet were loved as well.

I'm like you - give me a sweet, respectful, developed relationship and story. Have to agree with Kent (Amnesia Memories) and Fran (Code Realize). Amnesia Memories has some pretty crazy routes too, though. May I recommend Toki no Kizuna (Demon's Bond)? It's only available for mobile (phone or tablet), and doesn't have the voice aciting (which I deeply regret, since the original does), but a few of the routes have some decent, respectful relationship building and good endings.

Hakuouki also has some "good endings/developed relationships" - but *which* ones qualify tend to depend on the person you're talking to. I loved Saito's route for this, myself, but opinions vary. (When in doubt, and tired of angst and drama, I write my own. Sometimes, you just need to, you know?) Collar x Malice (PS Vita) is a little trickier. A game where I liked the main/final route best, I think.

I just finished Hanzo's route, and I was blown away by how amazing and well-written it was. I echo another person's sentiment in this thread that this is probably the best route I've experienced in an otome game -- and that says a lot since I've played many over the course of the past 10 years (e.g. Storm Lover, Tokimeki, all Voltage games, Amnesia, etc.). I love how healthy Hanzo and Enju's relationship was -- you could really see that their love for each other made them better individuals, which is how it should be in the first place. I especially loved it when Enju finally said "The Enju of Koga is dead," because that was the turning point of it all, and Hanzo helped give her the courage to walk towards that path.

As for the suggestions, I agree that Kent's route in Amnesia, and Victor's inCode Realize are of a similar vein to Hanzo's. If you want a feel good but a relatively more shallow experience (meaning, there's not much in the way of character development but just pure good vibes), you could try Tokimeki Girls' Side 3 -- almost all the routes there are nice, but I would personally vouch for Ruka and Kouichi, since they're the main characters and thus, have the most interesting plotlines.
