Loomsong Chronicle Idle — Update 1.07

This update focuses on more efficient exploration, better continuity when moving toward objectives, inactive companions in Grand Expeditions, and a crash that could occur when closing a portal.

Exploration and Navigation
- Improved how parties choose unexplored areas across ordinary and Grand Expeditions.
- Improved late-map exploration decisions to help parties seek out smaller remaining patches of fog.
- Changed how equally suitable exploration targets are selected to reduce directional bias.
- Exploration history now reflects ground the party has actually travelled, rather than counting a planned route as already visited.
- Limited unnecessary backtracking for optional gathering detours, helping parties retain a useful exploration destination through nearby work and encounters.
- Characters now retain chest and gathering jobs while making valid progress toward them. Combat, healing, returning to town and Grand Expedition extraction still take priority when needed.
- Improved route continuity around bridges and narrow passages, including cases where a character falls behind its current route waypoint.
Collision and Performance
- Corrected structure collision footprints in Greenveil, Cradle Drift, Deepforge, Sable Writ, Asterhome, Nhal-Serat, Vaelari and Cinderwake.
- Reworked collision around six large Cradle Drift ark placements to better match their individual obstructions and surrounding routes.
- Reduced redundant navigation checks when evaluating routes and approaches to objectives.
- Updated terrain verification records to match the installed navigation data.
These changes target specific causes of backtracking, awkward approaches and pathfinding overhead. They do not represent a blanket fix for every movement or frame-time issue.

Companion AI
- Fixed an issue where healthy companions could remain inactive while the main character fought enemies in a Grand Expedition.
- Fixed a leftover extraction state that could prevent companions from choosing new actions after their previous job had ended.
- Added recovery at relevant entry, job-release and Party Stuck boundaries so affected characters can resume normal decisions.
- Existing saves containing this inactive state are repaired automatically when loaded, without restarting the expedition or resetting equipment, loot or progression.
- Legitimate extraction behavior and normally scheduled actions remain unchanged.
Portal Stability
- Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the Close Portal confirmation, including the reported expedition with six modifiers.
- Stabilized scrolling and text wrapping in the town service panel to prevent a repeating layout loop.
- Improved confirmation-button visibility while preserving the existing interface and Cancel/Confirm behavior.
Compatibility
- Existing campaigns remain supported; no new game is required.
- Added localized recovery notices in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
- Verified saving, quitting and loading in the packaged game, including full-game and demo continuation.
- The demo has been updated to 1.07 and retains its level-25 limit.
- No combat-balance changes or progression resets are included in this update.
Thank you to everyone who sent in saves, crash reports and detailed descriptions. Those reports helped identify and reproduce the problems addressed here.

Loomsong Chronicle Idle 1.06
This update focuses on defensive ability use, healer and summon behavior, chest unlocking, and safer Workshop interactions.
Saving Shot
- Improved AI priority for Saving Shot when nearby melee enemies threaten a character. Characters will now favor a ready, affordable escape over ordinary attacks when a safer landing is available.
- Characters can switch to an equipped bow or crossbow on their other weapon set to use Saving Shot, including after a Sneak → Teleport → Backstab combo.
- Improved retreat planning around obstacles, nearby enemies, and party positioning.
- Added a brief three-second follow-through after a successful retreat to prevent characters from immediately rushing back into melee or switching straight back to their previous weapon set. Ranged attacks and urgent defensive responses remain available.
- Preserved support for eligible woven versions. Damage, resource costs, and cooldowns are unchanged.
Unbind Lock
- Removed the outdated magical Lock Score requirement that could prevent Unbind Lock from opening chests.
- A ready, affordable Unbind Lock now opens eligible locked chests without requiring a physical lockpick.
- Higher ability levels now improve casting speed instead of determining whether the chest can be opened.
- Ability level no longer increases the spell’s mana cost. Its base cost remains 20 mana, with a 12-second base cooldown.
- Updated the Skill Book, ability tooltips, and related Lockpicking guidance to match the current rules.
- Boss reward chests still require their associated encounter to be completed.
Healers and Summons
- Healers can now actively select injured friendly summons, including bound creatures and raised minions, when they have a compatible healing ability.
- Character healing and revival retain priority over supplemental summon care.
- Fixed Dawn Sanctuary positioning so its healing area covers the intended patient.
- Corrected Sanctuary approach behavior to use its actual casting range and line of sight.
- Improved urgent healing decisions so a badly injured character can receive an available faster direct heal instead of waiting for a Sanctuary pulse.
- Improved healing-target validation and coordination to avoid unnecessary duplicate summon-care assignments.
- Summon healing does not restore expired summons or extend their lifetime.
Workshop Safety
- Fixed an issue where selecting an incompatible item in Disenchant could unexpectedly transfer it between Shared Inventory and Stash, making it appear to disappear.
- Incompatible clicks and drops now leave the item in place and explain why it cannot be selected.
- Improved consistency between Workshop selection and Disenchant validation.
- Existing item locks, deliberate storage transfers, confirmation, and cancellation remain intact.
Dragoon Jump
- Fixed Dragoon Jump failing to recognize spears.
- The ability now supports spears and halberds, including legal Threxian spear-and-shield configurations.
- Confirmed support across both weapon sets and eligible woven versions.
- Updated the ability and Skill Book descriptions to clearly state the supported weapons.
- No need to replace existing equipment or relearn the ability.
Localization and Compatibility
- Updated affected descriptions and guidance in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
- Existing saves, equipment, learned abilities, ability experience, and valid woven abilities remain compatible.
- Verified saving, quitting, and loading, including interrupted casts and movement abilities.
Thank you for the reports and examples. They helped identify several cases where abilities were available but the party was not using them effectively.
