Does it play on steam deck

does this game run fine on steam deck cause i know it works on linux

it is listed as untested in my library so couldn't say (still waiting on my deck).
If its worth anything, GG Returns is listed as compatible with the only issues being noted that it sometimes displays Mouse and Keyboard commands over the deck commands (basically, it doesn't detect the controller element, no biggie once you know the buttons). This of course doesn't mean DP will work on the deck the same but if nothing else it's a fair guide pointer to assume it might.

well i can force it to use the controller i did that with another game that acted like this game and it showed xbox buttons

Aiming with controller sticks rather than a mouse will be challenging though. I have great respect for anyone who uses a controller in these games.

Did you try the Proton versions one by one? (sorry don't have the game so can't help more). Because weirdly enough, some of the games work with an older proton version. As in fixing crashes like what you wrote.
