What is better, Double Peace, Returns or Gal Gun 2?
I would like to know, since I want to buy one of these franchise's games, but I don't know which one is better, in terms of gameplay, history and of course, fan service.

It really depends what you have as in gear? If you own a VR headset, GG2 is the best one hands down.

Assuming you don't you have to consider:
GG Returns is a remake of a much earlier game so wont live up to some functions of newer games (DP and GG2).

Double peace is a sequel to Returns but you don't need to play returns, the girls (normal ones, not main) are the same throughout with some minor exceptions (the 3rd years move on and new 1st years join and some other minor adjustments are made). The only thing which connects the 2 games is the npc's (girls mentioned above) and the angels, Patako and Ekoro, Patako is the main angel in Returns and she appears as a hidden character in stages with some minor story elements and bonus stuff about her - I like most in the west played DP before the original game (now known as Returns) and the links between the two games are minor. Ekoro is a minor in Returns but becomes the lead in DP, again, small links but nothing you will miss. The game play is mostly the same as the other two, Returns is a lot harder and the "weak spot" system is a lot tougher, DP created the "newer" model which simplifies it for DP and GG2. Fan service is probably at its highest in this game but they are all mostly quite similar. There are some mini games in this game, they are mostly VERY fan-service like but there are fewer mini games than Returns.

GG2 - this is the "newest" of the games (As mentioned, returns is a remake of the oldest), this features lots of newer features at the cost of some others. In VR this game is the best of them handsdown, it was clearly built to work well with vr and some elements show this.
That said, without vr it's equally fine. You don't get the mini games sadly in this game, you do get a second weapon though the "demon sweeper", it sucks mini demons in... and flips skirts... just saying.
This game features the first "turn" function, this steps into making the "rail shooter" a but more fun, which DP offers more "changing points" during levels, this new system doesn't have as many but it creates a rotating camera (great in vr but works well without) which means you can be "attacked" from several directions.
Basically this game is mechanically more smoother, less buggy and more rounded than double peace BUT there is a issue, DP lets you save/load multiple slots, if you don't wanna replay the game a lot, this is something you will miss as you only have one running auto save slot meaning you can't load a ending with multiple ends ready, though you can easily influence ends on this one and it does have a skip function when you achieve a ending.
Bascially GG2 is a upgrade to DP and technically better in most areas, but if you don't have a VR set, i would say get DP, not because it's better but it feels a bit more rounded and better as a starting point. GG2 is much better visually than the others though.

GG Returns - Returns is a remake of the first game, it lacks a fair few features of the newer games and is certainly not one to start at. I love returns as a game but i wouldn't buy it unless you really enjoy the other 2 first, its a lot harder (this was a good point for me but not everyone likes the difficulty spike) and requires precise aiming (the weakspot system is more brutal, miss once and you can't hit it), It visually isn't terrible but if you play GG2 which is easily the best visually, it's certainly a step back. It does feature a easier to follow story, you can select the routes from the beginning making it easier to stick to a route. Really, Returns feels like its aimed at existing fans (ironically being the first game) over newer fans and i would suggest waiting until you played the others before playing this one, mostly because some features aren't present which whilst you can't miss what you don't know about, it does mean it feels a bit solid early on which is off putting for a none fan. It does however have a huge amount of Mini games and tons of replay value in collecting profiles.

I suggest DP as a starter, i think 2 is better in many ways but DP holds better replay value, is much easier to learn as a rail shooter compared to 2 and has lots more fan service (though 2 you can literally suck clothes away... so maybe i should say more "event fanservice).
But i would get 2 if you enjoy DP, even if on a sale, it's a solid game.

Well, what about crashes and stuff like that? I heard that DP is problematic with bugs and crashes. Also, thank you for taking your time to respond this.
