Nep*Gun: HyperPeace Mod

The Nep*Gun HyperPeace Mod has arrived!

Neptune's here and she's transferred in to Sakurazaki High. Tsubomi Haruno has transferred out.

Almost all voice clips have been replaced with Nep's English tracks.

Much of the game's BGM has been switched up to include various songs from the Neptunia series!

Full features detailed in the readme.

This can work as a standalone mod. It does not *require* the other mods to be installed. I recommend it, however, as you may see some random entries and such for outfits you don't have.

Greetings, all. I do not believe I officially stated that the Nep*Gun HyperPeace mod is actually an ongoing project. We're not stopping at adding Neptune alone. There are plans to bring as many characters in as we can from the Neptunia universe(s).

That being said, things are starting up once more, this time to bring in Uni, Lastation's CPU candidate!

This is the current model prototype we're working on. There are still modifications to be made, but as you can see, the foundation is complete.

Alright, time for the first update to the Nep*Gun HyperPeace mod! It's the Uni Update! Featuring the first installment of the Cosplay Series.

It's Uni's time to join the school!

Features:

- Uni has replaced Yukina Jinbo.
- Script has been rewritten for Uni
- Voice lines for the following files have been swapped for English Uni voice clips:
- Boss battles
- Shooting Stages
- Dressing Room
- Collection Mode
- Game over
- Title screen quote(for when you game over to her)
- Unseen Destiny ending
- Prologue scene(right after the opening movie)

But wait, you say. What's the Cosplay Series? The Cosplay Series allow you to config any of the girls to cosplay as characters from other games!

Cosplay Series #1 adds Sakuya Izayoi from Touhou!

This is cool, but would you possibly be adding an optional download for japanese voices? I personally can't stand any of the Neptunia dubbed voices.

Hm... I have two thoughts on this, as you're definitely not the first to request this.

First- providing a mod with the Neptunia girls' Japanese voice clips is simply not feasible at this time. In order to choose appropriate clips, we would need someone who understands Japanese to assist us. I go through hundreds of voice clips per character to choose the ones most fitting for the game. We really can't tackle that without assistance for the Japanese voice clips.

Second- I could look at providing an alternative mod that has the features of Nep*Gun but with the original voice clips of the girls from GG:DP. Or we could go further and have it simply be cosmetic changes only. That's something I might be able to manage.

I wish I could give you better options than that. I'm hoping that we get assistance from someone some day that can help us provide a Nep*Gun mod with the girls' Japanese voice clips.

Darkhawk02, I assume you're now working on a "Senran Kagura" mod for this game, too: in your Purple Heart mod video, I saw that you changed one of the girls to look just like Hibari from "Senran Kagura", though you haven't changed her name to Hibari just yet. So I take it you're going to someday have a "Senran Kagura" mod for "Gal Gun: Double Peace"?

If so, then I think it would be REALLY neat to see Rena Kuribayashi replaced by Rin (a.k.a. Suzune)!

Ah. So the reason I did not change her name to Hibari is because the extra non-Neptunia outfits are part of what I call the "Cosplay Series." It's really a bit of fun bonus content every once in a while. They're cosmetic only, everything else about the character stays the same. I like to have fun with this and mix it up every once in a while. Sakuya Izayoi from Touhou was the first.

That said, I do not have any immediate plans for a Senran Kagura mod. It's something that can be considered and discussed over time. If I were to do something along those lines, it would likely be cosmetic only. I mean, I could change the names and such too, but voices and story text would probably remain untouched.

The Nep*Gun HyperPeace mod will remain my priority for quite some time. I'll dabble in other things here and there, but I probably won't tackle any other major projects.

P.S. Sorry I haven't updated this post with the latest update yet. I'm actually about to call it a night, so I'll try to update this in full tomorrow. But the Purple Heart Update has arrived-
