Stage 1-2 Crash FIX (JULY 2017)

So I have been tinkering and i found this as a fix for the problem. I can't guarantee that it will work but it has work for me. Follow these steps carefully:

1. Download this file from the link below.
https://exe.io/GlobalPersistentCookerData

2. Navigate to GalGun Double Peace/G G 2 g a m e/CookedPC and looked for "GlobalPersistentCookerData.upk". Delete this file or move it somewhere outside the game directory (in case the fix doesn;t work).

3. Replace the "GlobalPersistentCookerData.upk" that was removed or deleted with the file from the link.

4. Enjoy the game and have fun. I hope this helps. :)

P.S. If the fix doesn't work, please remove all modifications you have done to the game and then try again.

hmm, I dont know about that. Mine is in 720p and fullscreen and no problem at all. Have you done any modification to the game besides mine? If you have, try to remove those and try again.

Ok, I delete some modifications. Works fine.
Fullscreen at 1080p.

Did not work for me, even with a vanilla install - and before you asked, I followed the steps to the letter. Copied and renamed original file outside of the directory, then copied and overwrote the original with the download.

Still, thanks for attempting a fix. I'm not quite ready to give up on this game yet so I'll try a few more things.

Used your file, and 1-2 worked great. at 1080p, 60fps, and V-Sync. Good job. If I may ask, what the heck did you do, and could you do more?

I just browsed the original files and the latest ones and checked the differences. Then, I found that file. I could not do more. I'm not that well-versed in coding and don't have that much time as well. I just really badly wanted to finish Maya route since I went to bad end route on first playthrough so I did this.

Interesting. Sounds like when they patched the game they forgot to include something or somehow something got deleted. Great job and seriously thank you for taking the time to do what the developer/publisher should have done.

Thanks for the fix.
It worked for me with my first playtrough. But when you have more then 1 savefile the game still crashes. Had to delete the 2nd one now it's working again.
Good workaround I hope sometimes there is a final fix for the issue.

Not that hard to alt-enter before selecting a choice, then once dialogue resumes after selecting a choice alt-enter again.

I'm in the middle of attempting this, if it works, will I have to do this EVERY time I start a new game, or should this be a one time fix?

I'm sorry but I don't have any answer to your question. This fix doesn't guarantee that it will work with everyone. I haven't tested it that much so just go ahead and try. You can always bring it back to normal by bringing back the original file.
