Still trying to find someone who played this updated version of the nightmare.
I know some changes were made but I want to know exactly what.
This is all more than a bit confusing. Last Year was just on sale for $0.49 last week making me THINK that Las Year:The Nightmare was probably the newer, up to date version or a more polished re-release but someone mentioned earlier in this post that it's the other way around. If that's the case then why is there an "ultimate" edition that has Last Year *AND* Last Year: The Nightmare? LY:TN is the more expensive of the two in the bundle... so is Last Year actually the newer version?
Edit:
Okay, found the announcement that sort-of explains it here:

Last Year: The Nightmare is the original game.
Last Year (A.K.A. Last Year: Afterdark) is the updated version.
This makes my head hurt...
The sad truth is a lot of this lack of funding is probably because from what I gathered and can't quote perfectly. Over on the discord channel where the game originally was only viable one of the members of the crew (I suspect the original creator) got cancer... mix that with 2020 the year of suck... To me this game is amazing and it's sad what is happening to it. I can only hope people will continue to support and hope they realize what a amazing game this game could have been with better roll of the dice odds on life.
