Last Year the Nightmare vs Last Year. Difference?
But what is the difference between this game and the Last Year game released some time ago? Are they the exact same game? I do not understand! Can anyone explain to me? Thank you.

"Last Year" has two more maps then the Nightmare, a progression system, cosmetics, a new survivor and killer, loads of game play tweaks and changes and reworked maps from the Nightmare version. Basically the Nightmare is the old version of the game while the game simply titled Last Year is the newer, upgraded version.

It also doesn't have all of the annoying spiders that ruined the school map though. That is the only thing better about it.

"Last Year" was "Last Year: The Nightmare" 2 years ago. It's literally an old obsolete version disguised as a new game. A fraud, a scam.

They're the same game.

It also doesn't have all the "games as a service" bs.

These are not the same game.
Still trying to find someone who played this updated version of the nightmare.
I know some changes were made but I want to know exactly what.

Why is one $0.49 cents, and one $29.99???????????????

This is all more than a bit confusing. Last Year was just on sale for $0.49 last week making me THINK that Las Year:The Nightmare was probably the newer, up to date version or a more polished re-release but someone mentioned earlier in this post that it's the other way around. If that's the case then why is there an "ultimate" edition that has Last Year *AND* Last Year: The Nightmare? LY:TN is the more expensive of the two in the bundle... so is Last Year actually the newer version?

Edit:

Okay, found the announcement that sort-of explains it here:

Last Year: The Nightmare is the original game.

Last Year (A.K.A. Last Year: Afterdark) is the updated version.

The sad truth is a lot of this lack of funding is probably because from what I gathered and can't quote perfectly. Over on the discord channel where the game originally was only viable one of the members of the crew (I suspect the original creator) got cancer... mix that with 2020 the year of suck... To me this game is amazing and it's sad what is happening to it. I can only hope people will continue to support and hope they realize what a amazing game this game could have been with better roll of the dice odds on life.
