Has this game reached the end of it's life?

No. This is the main problem for small teams - if any of the developers have problems, the project slows down for a while. The next patch will be released in 5-10 days.

This is the main problem of small indie teams. If something very unexpected happens, the project can freeze or even die. And taking into account the situation in the world, there is quite a chance for this

Since we have the Dev responding (awesome btw) I would love to find out if this game will end up being moddable in the future? Maybe even Workshop function added? I see people's complaints in reviews and think to myself.....all those issue's could be alleviated if people could make mods for the game. Some things probably just need additional settings in the game's menu maybe but, modding is a fantastic way to make a game more desirable to a larger audience.

My hot wheels/matchbox never got an update sitting in the dirt behind the house but I still played with those for years back in the day.Anyway hope all is well with you Lex and thanks you again and good luck on your other project Vilset.

I am enjoying this game regardless of the current state. Some general performance love would be great, but, I'm still playing. Good work on CrossWorlds, would love if it got some extra attention but, life happens.

I hope an update drops randomly one day, until then, I'll have some videos on my channel to show off the current build.

Yeah....it's done as for core features of the game so, not EA anymore. Doesn't mean it doesn't need some updates though.....it does need some. Generally, a game is in Early Access while it's core features / mechanics are being worked on. Additional content and bug fixing can still come later but, it doesn't need to retain the EA status at that point. Also, there's a good chance the Dev dropped work on this title at this point. Seems they maybe still working on other projects.

Steam should have warning labels when selling unfinished or abandoned games or not sell them all. The devs should be barred by future games on EA until they finish the games they started.
