You can't count mods, if the game needs mods to be good, it's not good. (Not saying I don't like Global Offensive, but you get my point.) I prefer Counter Strike, but, to each his own.
Coming from Raven Shield with no prior CS experience, I started playing CSS in 2004. In 2012 I began to play 1.6 which I consider to be quite the perfect game, especially from a more serious competitive point of view.
At some point after its release, I gave GO a try but I just didn't feel comfortable in it, and it couldn't get me hooked at all.
TI on the other hand absolutely did - in spite of a lot of factors that I wouldn't have imagined being able to tolerate before, such as the game's business model as a whole, as well as all the dynamics and randomness involved.
I'll probably give GO a shot again sometime just to be able to say I'm kind of familiar with it but for me personally, TI is the "better" game.
As somebody who has played CSGO since beta, I must say, Tactical Intervetion is a much better game. It suffers because it lacks a big name.
Most of the people complaining about the game are the same types of people who are ♥♥♥♥ players at CSGO. If you can't play CSGO, you're going to do terrible in this game as well. If CSGO was made by a small developer also and not Valve (the company with the most ♥♥♥♥ riders I've ever seen), then it would be hated or loved just as much as Ti depending on how you look at it.
EDIT: Also, it is really annoying how you constantly spam emoticons. I don't get why people do that, it just makes your post look stupid.
As I continued playing CS:GO, they began updating it. The game steadily became worse and worse as the devs unbalanced and added broken mechanics, without ever retuning maps. They listened only to the 1.6 vets, not the casual players who already enjoyed the game. They also made their own changes to the game that further broke it. When new maps were released, they were a massive departure from their original forms. When guns were nerfed or strengthened, it was too much. They added in new weapons and FTP crap that soon became annoying and in the way. Soon, even casual servers became infested with 2serious4me morons who only wanted to play to get that pink sniper for their competitive matches. Not to mention that the new source engine has this horribly cartoony feel. I always felt I was playing TF2 when I was actually playing CS:GO, the graphics were so 'clean' and 'pretty'. It was truly jarring, and overall brought the downfall of this game to me.
TI, on the other hand, appears to have only gotten better with age. Sure, it was a mess at the start, and it was canned by reviewers and players- BUT, it already had a working FTP system, and a basis of ideas that would surely turn out well with a few updates. Not only that, but it was a more casual experience that feels like the devs are pointing and mocking 2serious4me shooters like CS:GO and CS:S. It comes off as fun and light-hearted, without being annoying. Furthermore, the absolute lack of stupid competitive modes or rewards, results in a kinder community, and more decent players. It's not like you get that much less exp for winning or losing, you just have a good time. Plus, its not pay-to-win. Guns that you buy have their ups and downs, a stark contrast to TF2 and it's hat economy, and CS:GO's lack of balance to anyone but veteran players.
TI is simply fun. And it doesn't suffer from the cartoony look of the CS:GO engine, because it already is a cartoony stereotypical action game. A light-hearted parody of everything that makes the CS series unfun, while not being garbage.
CSGO feels like running and aiming in a pot of jam.
One negative is the idea of RENTING guns etc. I am happy to buy everything at a reasonable price. Not a chance in hell i will pay to RENT.
TI is awesome though.
