I reloaded the largest files from the previously downloaded wwe 2k17 codex, so the installation ran fast

Finding out how to fix the game should have been your only option. but then again why did you have the codex version downloaded? answer you are a pirate and only purchased the game to get the CC.

How many other pirated games are you installing on your PC.

I wrote that to the original version of the game I applied a crack to only check if the fault lies in the application itself "wwe2k17 64.exe"

Well, I willl answer that question for myself. I have 2 pcs. And about 50% of all my games on steam, I have pirated for a few days to test. I dont support piracy. But I also dont support false advertisement. Also I prefer try before you buy, and without a proper refund system, since some games take longer to DL due to steam limiting the bandwidth of their own dls, and the clock starts as soon as the dl begins, you often only get less than 1 hour to "play" that 2 hour refund buffer.

Every game on steam that offers a free demo, I have bought. Every game that has a free weekend that I like I bought.

games I dont like after a day or 2 of testing, I uninstall them. So far of the 150ish or so games I have "tested" I have bought about 135 of them.

All my "test" games are on a pc that has never been logged into any account of mine, and is nothing but a dummy test box*my old gaming rig*

So if not for testing, I'd never have bought half of them.

As for this game, never tested, no intentions to, as I pretty much know what to expect from this game, but Ill also never ask for support on a "test copy"

However, you bash the op as a pirate, he DID buy the game. he DID support the devs, even though they dont support the consumers with a demo or trial copy. So props on the OP for buying what he likes.

Maybe if devs didnt charge $60 for a reskinned game and had no way to refund it if it was a bugged up game, people would not seek to try games by other means.
and how many registry keys were screwed up by the Pirate version how many DLL's were replaced with older ones by the pirate versions, what other stuff did the pirate games do when they were installed, Pirated software is a favorite way of giving out various versions of spyware or viruses.

when you say the 2 hour clock starts when you start the downloading do you mean updates when the game client is running or the initial download from steam? all games should d/l from steam with the latest updates.or you could just leave the settings on your steam client to update games, it does that without the game running so you get 2 hours of gameplay.

and just to make a point very clear if you use pirated software you are a pirate, I dont care if you run 88 legit games and 2 pirates that still makes you a pirate.

As a professional IT consultant (network design and security) if something breaks you fix it you dont go get the pirate version. I have been involved with Computers in either a hobby or professional capacity for 39 years, please stop trying to make stealing software sound like a right way to deal with problems.

Try uninstalling the game folders completely from your pc and from the steamapps/common folder from your C drive. Then reinstalla clean copy, Maybe that might work for you.

And like I said, I dont support "stealing it" I support trying something. Blame the industry for their false advertisement and poor business practise. Blame the government for not cracking down on it more. Dont blame the consumers who want to see what it is they are going to purchase. I am gathering you are about 45 or 50ish in age, only a few years older than myself, so we grew up in a similar era, and I do understand where you are coming from.

Its amazing you seem to draw a line at stealing as its ok as long as you dont do it on a pc that connects to the net, and only to try things for free.

As for the government cracking down on things, I have reported you to steam for advocating Piracy, and seriously hope they hand your details to the police so that they can crack down on piracy. Lets make this simple you use pirated software even if its for 2 hours that makes you a pirate.

The steam 2 hour refund period has always been enough for me to get a final answer as to the playability, I have refunded 1 item in all the time I have been a steam member. reviews and adverts tend to be enough to get a good idea about a game. Then its simply playtesting on how well the game runs. 1 hour of hard testing is normally enough to test any situations that are not fully covered by adverts and reviews.

As for this game its rock solid on a 6700k o/c to 4.7ghz with a GTX1070 running Widows 7 pro , our machines are a close match. The problems on Windows 10 seem to be the fact that the updates on Windows 10 have been irratic, and several changes were made at the core of the O/S since this games release. I have no doubt a well built system with all of its drivers and software properly installed will run the game well.

I did not download all the codex games that weighed about 40 gb but just a small crack file from "chomikuj" to see what really is the error I just wanted the file "wwe2k17 64.exe" to temporarily replace and check if it is faulty. I still have not fixed the bug, I'm going to reinstall the game to another disk
