I've only crashed once when starting a show since I got the game, but it does seem like the two issues could be related, since the moment it crashed was the exact moment that the NXT Takeover: Dallas logo was supposed to appear. Could be some sort of issue with the game trying to load the sound up, with the game very rarely crashing as a result of whatever problem the game's running into.
That is bound to the rig not game
It was in the Royal Rumble for 2K16 too, will be interesting to see how the 8-man 2K18 engine fixes this issue (if it comes out on PC).
