Executive Assault 2

Executive Assault 2

Is this game worth it?
It doesnt seem to have made much improvements since release. The game still looks unfinished and it kinda looks like it was abandoned.

It's still being worked on. Now when it comes to "Is it worth getting". That is hard to answer for you. It depends what you are looking for. I personally really enjoy the game and it's worth it. It's even more fun with friends. Being on the ground fighting while seeing your space ships above fight too is an amazing feeling.

Its a Single Dev Game so development will be slow.

He should really post some of these on steam. It looks here like nothing happened for 5 months after announcement of an update in dev.

Most people wont join yet another Discord server, its what forums are for.

I would say a lot of gamers are on Discord these days like a lot of people are on other social media sites especially if you want to keep up with the latest news from your favourite developer/game.

I tend to save the steam announcements for the bigger news and post the smaller stuff like a new tech or new door on Discord which I might add is a far more modern and friendly work environment.

But if people feel I should be posting the mini announcements onto Steam as well then I can certainly start doing that going forward? It's just extra time that takes me away from working on the game which I'm practically doing 6-7 days a week on this new mega update.

We have had a few updates on discord so perhaps I can consolidate into a new steam announcement which makes it worth it.

I appreciate this being brought to my attention.

I totally get that and the extra time it takes, especially being a solo dev too, I hope it didn't come across entitled etc.

I think it's worth keeping in mind anyone viewing the store page will see no updates or news for almost half a year, they won't know about the discord server and so will be less likely to try the game out or know about the coming update.

I appreciate discord being easier for sure, it can limit your reach though.
e.g. I have many games, a few hundred of those have Discord servers, 10s I actually play, I can't realistically join 20 servers and keep track of them all (more a Discord UI problem) nor can I just join and leave them constantly to check. Plus Discord isn't searchable on a search engine which further limits it's reach.

TLDR: Doing a few bigger consolidated progress updates would be much appreciated, that way it's more substantial, keeps the casual steam player onboard and lets people know more is coming, as it pops up in their library.

Whichever you do, always appreciate a dev being active within their community!

May I advise to use steam for every snip of news you have?

Why you ask now, well its quite simple. Lets take me as an example. Im interested in this game and think about buying it. The FIRST thing I do before I buy is checking how active the developement is and second, how is the communication (also like here in the discussions).

If I would add a discord server for every game that I not only have but might want to buy, I would do nothing else in my free time as jumping from one discord server to another to see if and what happened.
Look at the number of games I have and you might get a feeling about what Im trying to say ;)

So I strongly recommend to post news whenever you can on steam, its a good sign in multiple ways for existing (and not discord using) players and also for interested ones.
