KNOWN ISSUES (UPDATED MAY 7TH 2019)
CURRENT:

All are being worked on of course!

- We’ve done everything we can to address the rubber banding on entity movement that became obvious since the latest SpatialOS upgrade. We’re in touch with the developers to try to find a solution, and while it’s much less pronounced on the Asteroids, enemies that move fast & change direction more often are still occasionally annoying.

- Occasionally entities will disappear and re-appear. We think it's related to the issue above.

- Some users are experiencing incredibly high rate of fire on all their guns, turrets and enemies. We've no idea what's going on but it's logged and under investigation. Definitely doesn't affect everyone.

- Energy is no longer fully recharged on entering a Xenotaph. A fix is underway.

- A few users are experiencing issues with menus not responding properly. This seems to also sometimes affect the Tutorial. We're investigating.

- Occasionally the server browser will return no servers… but this usually goes away after another attempt.

- There’s some infrequent issues around repairing ships. Sometimes they’re fine, sometimes they report that they never died (so you don’t have to pay money to repair, yay!), and sometimes the repair won’t work even if you’ve got enough Lazarene.

- We’re aware of an issue that means the Map gets… WEIRD. Basically, it is to do with the Wipe getting ‘stuck’ and players being let back into a world that had not properly been wiped and repopulated. We’re tracking down the source, and it rarely happens, but seeing as the Wipe is now every 7 days we can damage control until we have a confirmed fix. Just let us know if you see it happen!

- Sometimes Asteroids and Enemies will take 0 damage, as well as sometimes deal 0 damage. It's very rare, and we're keeping an eye out.

- Sometimes when you Dock with a Xenotaph, you won't be able to see any menu at all, just your Ship and the background image. We've fixed the MAIN source of this problem (see notes above), but have had one or two people report it happening still. We'd love more info and steps to reproduce if possible!

- There is no FTUE/Tutorialisation for the Wipe itself. We are hoping to get this in before Early Access launch, but may not. There are more important things for us to address, and we think you're all smart enough to figure most of the two screens out.

- Sometimes the second Wipe Results screen can fail to show you your Systems, and therefore you cannot upgrade them there. We're working on the fix of course.

OLD/FIXED:

- There's a bug with the Shield System that can make you semi-invincible.

- Using two weapons at the same time causes an error log to be displayed.

- Leaving before the Lazarus Event happens lets you keep all your stuff.

We've got HUD element that will tell you if you're in an area of the game that is going to be bug-ridden, so you can at least tell if it's something else... and you know, take a trip around the game world to find somewhere nicer!

So there is a REALLY gnarly bug in the underlying architecture that means what appears to be high lag and associated symptoms, such as:

- enemies not dying
- asteroids not dying
- pickups not being 'pick up-able'
- enemies ignoring the player
- enemies clumping together/spawning on top of each other
- shops not equipping your bought items
- Asteroids spawning close to you and aiming right at you in a 'cross' motion

If you see any of these issues, rest assured we're working on the problem - and it really genuinely seems to be all donw to one annoying bug.

The issue itself manifests in physical areas of the gameworkld so technically you should be able to find areas where it all pays fine (we have done so in the past), but sadly it's basically impossible for us to tell where and when the bug will appear to warn anyone :/

Anyway, thought this might help clarify a few things, and there are some incredibly clever people dedicating their time to fixing it. They've been trying for over a week now... it's simply very hard to reproduce and figure out a fix.

Alright, glad to know you are on it. Enemy units seem to mass duplicate during this period, as well as lagging backwards into positions. I also am not sure what the SUPER giant tan ship is, but that was teleporting back to position regularly as well.

Hey, I've just encountered the 3rd bug - not being able to pick up loot. It coincided with the capture of a sector which I was right in the centre of at the time of capture. Haven't been able to pick anything up since.

Edit: After completing a warp jump to a province, I am now able to pick up loot again.
Yup just to clarify we know what the bug is, and why it happens - it's purely location based (and those locations change/move over time). It's not to do with capturing or anything, it's a more widespread and sort of 'basic' issue. Appreciate the details tho! :D

Yup we have a team working on it but meanwhile we just kinda have to live with it - it affects our dev too as it makes certain things hard to build/test/assess as you can imagine.

Until then we're adding stuff and fixing other bugs that people haven't noticed yet :D

I am unsure if this is a bug but when I destroyer asteroids or enemies they don't drop anything. The game also does not want to run above 20-ish fps.
And once when I was playing I saw a ton of resources for about 5 seconds before they all vanished, ever since then I only saw one purple resource that I couldn't pick up(an enemy ship was doing something next to it).

I get a stable 60 in the title screen and what looks like my full 144 htz in the game

Yup, that's all related to this known issue :D

As for the framrate, does it improve if you play with the launcher settings (low, medium, high quality)?

I tried messing around with the settings, turning off the steam overlay, switching between fullscreen and windowed, changed the resolution, but it pretty much stayed at 20 fps no matter what I did.

Oddness! We'll keep an eye on things and if it changes for you let me know? Could you fire your specs in here too (you can get them from steam easily... somewhere... :D )

As you can see this is a really old PC, but above the minimum requirements.

Has anyone been having issues jumping to other locations? I'm not sure if this bug has been addressed yet. You just simply remain where you are after selecting an area and pressing the button to jump. I guess I'm gonna have to travel manually for now. :papyrus: Even with the current issues, I'm quite enjoying this game. I'm interested as to what content will be brought in the future! Hope the devs see this. (And I forgot to mention that I do know an area has to be player controlled to jump.)

Oh no :( Jumps do cost MEV so if you're low it might be because of that maybe?

1 quick thing,
using client 10.51 and seeing server 10.37 in bottom right,

I'm getting the version mismatch after updating,
tried reinstalling with no luck. Just wanted to get this out there before I forgot. o7

It's not that, but It could somewhat be that. Everytime I buy something in the shop, ALL my resource numbers are scrambled. I once had bought the limpet jet that cost 5k of all resources that I managed to scrap up exactly to that number, and I suddenly had 29k Energy, 2000 Void, and 0 Mass. I find this oddly strange. But I also think I know what the actual issue to the jumps are. It goes back into the whole "This area isn't working but others are" sort of deal. A friend of mine was struggling to find an area that worked to jump to, and I managed to find a part of the grid where the pick-ups were functioning. Turns out that if an area has working pick-ups, jumps work too. But there's also an other thing with that. AI factions have been somehow taking the capture point as soon as it becomes player controlled. Even if we're on the capture point and there's no enemies. For my friend and I, anyways. So it makes going anywhere nearly impossible. And after half an hour, the area seems to corrupt itself, making the player have to relocate to another place. So it all really kind of depend on that one bug getting fixed.

Yeah it's being worked on so keep 'em crossed for now I guess :/

Sorry I don't have better news yet!
