Disappointing and repetitive

As soon as I started the game, I was a bit unsure about it. The movement feels quite janky and fast, which can make getting around feel awkward.

The characters also don’t really fit the art style of the game. They’re unappealing, grainy 2D models that just look out of place.

The car-fixing minigames become repetitive very quickly, and the power washing is painfully slow and not satisfying at all. I actually maxed out the power washing upgrade because I found it so annoying, but even fully upgraded it still felt like a chore. I’d see a car that needed washing and think, “ugh, not this again.”

Clearing the rubbish piles isn’t particularly satisfying either. The physics aren’t great, with things sometimes hovering in mid-air instead of falling naturally. There are also loads of car parts to find, and I found myself repeatedly throwing them from one side of the pile to the other before going back to fixing cars.

I did try to play for as long as I could to give the game the best chance possible, but it just didn’t grip me. After a while, the whole gameplay loop became boring.

For the price, I just don’t think there’s enough here. There are other games similar to this that are much better and cheaper. It’s disappointing because I was genuinely looking forward to this game, but unfortunately I’ve decided to request a refund.

It's not a bad game but it's equally not something I could recommend - thankfully it's cheap!

There really isn't much mechanic stuff in the mini games - just hold in your mouse button or press a direction. I was hoping for a little bit more in a game that's titled about fixing your dream car.

Once you've done a few runs at the scrap pile - which is itself a little bit boring as you can only move one piece of car scrap at a time -and you've fixed a car, it's very repetitive after.

It's very new so hopefully some updates will bring it a little more to life.

Nah, I wouldn’t exactly call it a junkyard. It’s actually a pretty classy little workshop, my garage is more of a mess. And the game’s not bad, really. Just something to kill a couple of hours with.
