This is why the gaming SJW youtubers complain about it so much. I hope whatever Valve has in store for Greenlight's replacement is a better system.

"These are old games and we released them as they were, they were never originally intended to run on windows 10 os. However with this in mind we are develooing a new game in the BeachHead: Series, BeachHead:2020 for more information on the new title please visit our website "

Have to admit, not a good attitude at all.
"We are currently coming up with a patch to fix the issues and we will release an announcement when we fix the issue. We did not see this issue coming as it works on most modern pc's that we have. Please accept this steam code for BeachHead: 2002 and be sure to run in compatibility mode or change the setting in the ini file for the configuration."
As far as I can tell the highest resolution is 1024x768 and the mouse control is a bit wonky, but it is playable otherwise. I will try higher resolutions when I get around to messing with the ini. files contents. Just a heads up for those interested.
Thats means compatibility wise you should have no problems whatsoever with every single other title in our game library... You created this expectation Biggus Dickus, and never was it our intention to remaster the old game. Where did you get this impression? We were always working on the next iteration in the series: Beachhead2020. An entirely new title. Perhaps if the title read Beachhead2000 Remastered or HD, I'd have understood such a misunderstanding.
If you wanted a more compatible version, i'm glad you found the other beachhead titles, which as they are work with windows 7, 8 and 10. No problems that aren't direct X related.
Just look at their reviews by comparison. They are the legitimate sequels and every title we worked on after Beachhead2000 shares this overall compatibility.
We're only human, I thought personally we had done a good job of explaining what our intentions were here. What minimum requirements meant versus recommended requirements.
You have our ears as developers. I hope you can recognize that the compatibility issues in the titles following 2000 are non-existant provided you have directX and a compatible video card.
Well, if they released these old games for free, no one have rights to really complain about anything. But we paid for those games, and we are not even asking to increase the resolution or what, the problem is the game can't even run on Windows 10
