Fate Meter

What's the deal with this thing? In most games I feel like I have no spare actions to dedicate to questing for the Fate Meter. I always have to use up my characters to attack, block, or quest for the objective. The only time I ever quest for the Fate Meter is if I'm well ahead and on top and I have characters to spare. I beat the entire campaign on Medium but only used the Fate events maybe 2 or 3 times total.

Thoughts? Seems like a non-essential part of the game.

You just cant use it or your deck is not good for it. I can fill that bar to full all the time and use all fate actions. It all depends how you play and what characters you have. If you go with heroes like Gimli.. then you wont fill it. I have 2 heroes with 3 fate so in 1 turn i can already get half of bar. Don't rush, you can stay for a bit instead of travel, play some healing cards, farm fate or action points etc. Sauron usually won't do much if everything is dead, he will play card or two that you can easly destroy. Play with your allies cards too, you want full board of allies so heroes can do other stuff.

That makes more sense. I've been rushing (travelling as soon as the option presents itself) and I usually pick combat-oriented heroes. Cheers.
