The 'Pacifist Achievement' unlocked
Hey all, just got the 'Pacifist' achievement, for those who want to know how, here ya go!

First trouble I came across was figuring out which quest it was most likely doable on, as most quests had some large enemy that 'had' to be killed in order to progress.
UItimately I decided on Quest #3 'On The Trail', and I used my Arwen, Eowyn & Faramir deck (the list is on the Ringsdb website if you're interested, as Arwynmir.)
The general trick with this deck is that it's heavy on the Willpower stat, and uses a lot of cheap allies with ETB effects. The focus on Willpower is super important because some of the scenarios in this quest revolve around questing, also the Fate meter is super important here. The deck also utilises quite a few healing and threat reduction tricks to help us get by. There may be a deck out there that's better suited to gaining this achievement, but this is the one I used.)

During the quest you'll get to the point where you'll have to choose to either go after the caravan, or to trust smeagol... trust smeagol!
At some point you'll have come across the Marsh Adder... this is easily the trickiest part because in order to progress past the scenario, you'll have to kill him. The way to do this without directly attacking him is to abuse the guard ability... remember, reciprocal damage! At this point I had multiple characters and allies with 3 attack, Marsh Adder has stalwart (meaning he attacks twice). With clever management of guarding, he'll be at lethal range. If he refuses to attack at this point (kudos to the AI), you'll need to play Gandalf... his 3dmg option does not void the achievement.

I'll stop there for now... if anyone needs it I'll offer a rough 'play-by-play' guide later.

Just remember, Quest - Fate - Block.

Oh... I should also mention that in this quest, you'll gain control of smeagol/gollum. He has the quirk of his random ability (good or bad). One of these is to attack an enemy at random. Luckily, this DOES NOT void the achievement.

Happy hunting!

Thanks dude, I can see someone beating Quest 1 but I'd be super impressed with whoever does this achievement on quest 2, (assuming I'm remembering correctly) as you have three unique and painful spiders to defeat right from the start.

I would be more impressed if it is quest 4.
