Silly me for not seeing it.
Thank you for your quick help.
Lore:
Arwen: 50 times use her healing
Faramir: 30 times use his vanquish ability
Fredgar: heal him 100 points
Spirit:
Tom Took: absorb 100 damage with his ability
Glorfindel: complete a quest while only using 1 of his passives (so either no damage taken at all or take damage each turn)
Eowyn: solve 25 hazzards while her passive is up
Leadership:
Aragorn: take 8 actions in a turn (requires a specific deck, stacked up with action resets)
Dwain: complete 10 quests with his bonus stats active all the time
Dain: have a board full of dwarfes (I've used 3 dwarf heroes and all possible dwarf allies and filler rest)
Tactic:
Legolas: kill 25 enemies with his passive
Gimli: kill 25 uninjured enemies (oneshot kill)
Idraen: activate her vanquish ability 25 times -> 25 kills
The main point of their challanges are in the list, the actual numbers in kill counts or activations might differ a bit, but you'll just focus on doing them anyways and after a few quests you'll be done. But pay attention, that if multipple hero challenges are completed in a single quest, then only 1 will be showed in the end screen.
Interesting extra to know.
For what I did see some hero's have pretty good attachements for them.
Yeah, true, I'm currently favoring Arwen's, since in most cases I need multi target heal, so it's the same as Beorn's hospitality with extra threat reduction; Glorfindel's special is another good one... actually I think it is a bit overpowered, especially in multiplayer... straight up killing 2 higher tier (trolls, elite orks, etc.) minions is just insane.
Legolas' special however is a bit strange, stronger enemies have block, so it's just a 1 damage to them; althou it still matters, I think, since in most cases you will need spirit anyways or even if you don't, Glorfindel himself is just strong enough, especially with his special reward card, from spirit, you get star brooch and it's better for 'special slot', than Legolas' special slot card.
Aragorn's special is a bit underwhelming, considering, you need a realy specialized deck to be able to achive 8 actions in a single turn. it is usefull, but an extra attack would be much better, even at the cost of some other special stats.
Eowyn's special is also interesting, but I think it's nothing compared to Glorfindel's.
So, I'm not sure how this works.... do all the actions performed by each hero BEFORE the last update count?
Or is this a new thing, and I have to play dozens of Arwen games again to get to 50?
Also, Aragorn, ouch!
8 is a bit crazy.... do the extra guard the Hobbit hero can grant count?
You have to do the progress after the patches, it can be done with certain specialized decks in a few hours at most.
For Aragorn, just stack up as many action reset cards as you can, exhaust guard providing cards don't matter, only actions you take, like filling up fate bar, attacking/ solving hazzards and manually taking Guard, so practically every reactivating mechanic matters, even stalwart action matters, just like his ability.
I've completed it in the last tutorial map, it's easy actually, you just have to wait for the cards, you need 5 in hand and stalwart on Aragorn + enough mana to use his ability too and an option to to something, I'm not sure if guarding up and unguarding, then guarding up again matters.
Well, all the special cards are usefull in certain circumstances, it's just that not all deck types feel as strong and as multifunctional as a Lore-Spirit-Tactic deck currently with Arwen/Faramir + Glorfindel + Idraen.
I do dislike that this reward can ONLY be attained via pure grinding and a specific grinding deck...
