Physical versus digital version
Is this digital version of the game just a lesser version of the physical game with some heartstone mixed into it? Looking for some more indepth opinions on th egame. How does it play, how does the co-op feel, is it just a battle then travel to next loadscreen, then rinse and repeat or does new stuff happen from time to time?
And lastly, did they go away from LCG model and turn this into a TCG?

It's a different game that's not really all that similar to either the tabletop game or hearthstone. Normally it does play as a series of enemy boards to clear but some scenarios/stages do mix it up somewhat. The second campaign in particular has more diverse stages.

Co-op is much the same except more interesting and difficult as it becomes much harder to eliminate enemies before they can act. Unfortunately there is limited ingame communication options so you probably won't want to play with random people online (even if you can find them).

It's an LCG. Oddly enough, at the moment it is even more an LCG than when they called it 'The Living Card Game'.

Personally, I think that it's not as good as the tabletop game by any metric other than speed and ease of play but it's not a bad game. I do think there are some deep seeded issues with the content design which causes problematic balance where the game is difficult for new players but far too easy for those who've figured it out but it should still be a fun play for at least one go through the current content.

Could you explain what you meant by "it is even more an LCG than when they called it "The Living Card Game"? How do card gains work and such? I love the tabletop one because you bought a pack and you got full set of all the cards. This is how I prefer it.

You buy a set and get all the cards and encounters that go with it.

There is also an ingame currency you earn which can be used to buy cards of your choice from a general pool they call the 'vault' that isn't specific to any set. The game is pretty generous with this currency so it mostly serves to make it so that you don't have all the cards in the pool dumped on you at the start.

There are other cards that are rewards for the completion of each scenario.

Apparently, there are also now cards that are associated with each hero which you can get by doing something with that hero. I'm not really sure how these work, they're a new addition.

This is an ok game, but far from the amazing physical game.

Scratches a different itch in my opinion. They both do great things with this theme and have their strengths and weaknesses.

Yeah, I played it a bit and it's great fun. Especially in co-op mode. Needs more content though. More cards, more heroes more campaigns.
