Tailless Rat memento - what does it do?

I am not sure, but I think it has something to do with Crit. I think I know how to verify and will report.

I've heard that it add your attack at low health maximum (and decrease A LOT of your attack if you are very healthy)

Okay, so here are the things i know about the Tailless Rat:
it lowers your attack power when you attack.
it does not give you higher crit-attack.
it does not give you higher backstab attack.

i kinda had 2 of those in one run and i 2-hitted the boss "Experience". i thought, it could have to do something with that... but it tuns out, im clueless...
any other takers?

The Tailless Rat modifies your damage based on your total maximum health, the lower the maximum the higher the damage. This is also true in reverse however, if your maximum health increases then the damage you deal goes down. It can be very powerful in a build that uses poison or hunger to lower maximum health, but if you have mementos that increase your health bar then it can push your damage into the ground (I have gotten a weapon to 0 damage with it)
