Honestly, those graphics are not that great and at least NASCAR Heat has some damage modeling. I do like that ASRX also has trucks but for me, I just can't get past the graphics, even for a 2015 sim.

Its certainly a better simulator. I have this, and i had the original arca/remax cd version they sold back in 2008. Its an old sim based off of rfactor/isi gmotor engine and therefore why it looks dated, although i guarantee 100 percent its more of a sim than heat. (No surprise....i enjoy heat, but a sim...it aint)
The graphics really arent that bad and i must say, if you feel you cant "get past" them, i find it odd. They certainly do the job, and driving it rather than watching videos would go a way towards showing that. Hell its free so why would you not even try it?
Also, damage modelling? Of course its got it.....and its better than heats. So are the physics, the camera views, the data collection, the tire modelling.....etc etc..... as youd expect from what is essentially an rfactor mod. (Even though in its original form it was marketed and sold as a standalone game)
I can also tell you there are no viruses, and it has a thriving community online, but if you want norton to just do its own thing thats fine also.
However, gspectre...
As you appear to have neither game i dont imagine your viewpoint to be a particularly educated one.
DISCLAIMER. Im no arca fan boy, or ASRX as its called now, far from it, hell i actually hardly play it, but i feel watching a couple of vids, then complaining about the graphics, on a (wrongly) assumed 2015 sim, in a comparison to this game, when the former IS FAR SUPERIOR to this one at what they profess to do, and indeed about 8 years older on a 12 years older engine (approximate dates...) and about £45 cheaper, needed a slight steer. Hate as you want, i care not.
It's a modded version of ARCA Sim Racing that was put together about two years ago primarily using a combination of game models from previously made rFactor stock car mods, rebuilt rFactor tracks, and some tracks used by The Sim Factory (who were the actual creators of ARCA Sim Racing and have nothing to do with this current state of the game). The individual who did the vast majority of the modding content found in that sim split with person currently running it back in December of 2014, creating his own separate mod of ARCA Sim Racing which is used today and runs under a private banner.
While ASRX may offer a large quantity of tracks and vehicles, their content is ridiculously out of date in terms of models, tracks, and overall graphical content. Plus, the physics are a whole other discussion and furthermore, it does not have The Sim Factory's blessing or approval.
Having said that, the game engine they use has a lot more potential. For example, the "other" mod of ARCA Sim Racing that has updated their car models and features updated tracks looks like this in comparison:

That particular mod shown in the images above is in the process of moving to rFactor 2 next season for its league members so we can continue to upgrade by moving to a newer game and graphics engine.
The reality is while ASRX offers some decent features and a stable online play, the mod is outdated and basically a decade old in terms of visual appeal. Heck, I play it once in a blue moon on occasion for some fun but it's really hard to get past the poor visuals. Some of these old games have had good runs (and still do with modders who know what they're doing), but ultimately there comes a time to move forward.
Dont justify yourself mate, guys just being a troll.
