Suggestion thread

Hi, I had fun, 3 starred all on hard but haven't done boss yet.

My quick suggestions would be:
  1. Option to restrict cursor to game window. I have dual monitor and kept losing it over the other side.
  2. Alternate, more visible cursors. Perhaps a huge reticle. It's not always easy to see.
  3. Energy could indicate when it's about to fade out - perhaps make it go red then fade.
  4. Mines could also use an end-of-life graphic perhaps, so they don't just disappear.
  5. Add "Upgrade quantity" bars on the energy screen.
  6. Maybe an animation on player spawn/respawn. Perhaps large transparent circles that quickly shrink onto the player to indicate it's location.
  7. Perhaps allow one upgrade "reset" - I didn't bother putting any points into blue duration, but it could be really useful on the boss.
  8. Stages could remember how many upgrade resources they awarded, and only add extra resources to your pool when you exceed what you earned before. So that you don't just keep earning upgrades by playing the same level repeatedly.

As for content ideas, it does feel like it could do with maybe one or two more things in the main levels to add variety.

My content idea: Energy thief - roams around stealing energy. If it's killed by weaponry there's no reward, but if you move on top of it you kill it and receive a small bit of energy. I imagine it like a spider, and you could have it leave webs that slow you down at the places where it stole energy.

For the current price it's pretty good IMHO - didn't see any bugs.

Ok, boss done. So much harder than the rest of the game :).
The boss has very nice gameplay and visuals.

Some ultra minor things to add:
  • Green & Yellow energy colors are visually quite close - although that just might be my eyes. If you agree you could push green just a tiny bit toward teal and yellow just a tiny bit toward orange.
  • Clicking on upgrades could give a different sound if you can't afford them.
  • Voices on stage completion are slightly unclear.

I'll probably write a review tomorrow.

Considering this game is not just skill but also reflex dependant I'd vote against this idea. This is fine for the younger gamers (kids/teens/young adults) but the rest of us aren't in the same boat anymore. Not to mention those with handicaps/injuries that still game. If I couldn't farm I would've likely lost interest by now, some of the upgrades I've farmed have helped the game appeal to me more & kept my interest in it and allow me to go further. I'm not arguing, I just have a different point of view.

Personally I felt some of the levels were a bit longer than they needed to be, on all difficulties.

It can be a bit confusing at first as the cursor, power-ups and traps look very similar. Visually they look good but could use some disappearing animations.

Perhaps add a tutorial to explain how some of the features work? A wall of text is not very appealing to most players.

Thanks for the game, it is very enjoyable and well worth it's pricetag.

Not sure why but this game always loads on my secondary monitor, it would be nice if it defaulted to the primary display

You probably want to stick this as a bug report - and provide details like OS, video card, and monitor config.

Played this through to completion and have over 5000 energy in my bank, but the achivement for 5000 energy says I only have 2600, is this a known bug?

Just an FYI, the "Controlls" button is a typo. The correct spelling is "Controls".
