Using dash properly is one of the main goals of the challenges and the reason why some of the people have such good scores. Without it, getting gold medal is impossible.
It's referring to the one where it's non stop wall jumping: left wall jump, right wall jump, right - left - right jump, left wall - flat wall turning jump, right - boost - left - boost, corridor walls, the a super long jump/fall (above says dodge off the side of the platform onto the wall and jump off for the extra distance, still barely not working for me for whatever reason)... a few minor jumps after that before the end.
You have no idea what you are talking about, so before you speak like you did observe the time limit on challenges when you click and unclick the focus and you will see the timer slow its rate of ticking.
Doesn't matter at this point for me anyway, I did manage to get through the challenges (though mostly by tenths of a second) for gold.
Hi Daonitre,
thanks for your report, could you please make some example of the bugs you are facing? thanks!
A few enemies which would damage me when they didn't hit me (out of range and still getting damaged). This was intermittant.
When using alpha alignment there are actually 2 waterlines which are visible, the top of which doesn't have any water shading under it.
Jumping onto an edge where there is a pillar causes the character to climb 'into' the pillar, which gets him stuck... I've noticed sometimes i can do a 'running slide' (in-place) to get out of this but other times I had to quit the game to reload a save and did lose some playtime.
There was a claim during loading screen tips that lanterns protect the player from the lava; this didn't happen but I chalked it up as another intentional game misdirection... if they are supposed to do anything other than light the player up for a bit then that's bugged.
Turn the sun's glare down (far down) or you can't see many of the ability activation points.
High jumps into water are a gamble; doesn't matter how deep the water is there is a chance player will die on contact. Doesn't seem to apply to the water around the last area. Not sure but if this is intended you might not want to put cliffs overhanging ocean areas you would be able to reach other ways... gives the impression the player is supposed to jump.
There were others that aren't coming to mind ATM. Great game though, I do recommend it. Interesting story; fun puzzle platformer.
thanks for your extensive feedback, and thanks for your kind words at the end... don't forget to leave a review if you like!
A few questions:
- About the Alpha planet, in which area happened?
- About enemies, which enemies? drones or golems?
A few explanations:
- Lanterns don't protect from lava, but from the heat of the beta planet that constantly consume your life, until the 25% of it (it's written in the tutorial of the beta planet during the main quest).
- When falling in water you will avoid damage only if is deep water, if it's not that deep you will crash, like in normal life!
Thanks!
enemies: intermittant; very random so not really very testable. Numerous times the golem jumps would cause damage even if i was midair (i started jumping thinking being on the ground was causing it seeing as i was easily twice as far as the graphical effects) and the drones when blowing up were sometimes literally 2 full dashs away when i took damage (so i just boosted all the defensives into drones since they seemed to like to sneak up on me in addition to having ridiculous explosion range occasionally). These happened so randomly that some enemies would have it in one encounter and not have it in another at the same spawn location (but i noticed it in almost every area). I actually think the only enemy that didn't bug on me at some point was the sentry pole. see specs at end of post; specs are normally the cause for this type of wierdness in my experience (but wouldn't be happening due to specs on my rig).
Good to know about the lanterns - if i was taking damage from the standard heat i didn't notice it. Not saying this is bugged, just went unnoticed.
I figured that was the way water is supposed to work (seeing as almost all games follow that format)... but there were a few times i landed in shallow water and took no damage, and enough times landing in deep water dying instantly (really dark blue color and swim effect getting there other ways) that i included it in my list above. After the main area i just stopped jumping from any real height no matter what was below me.
specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 15063)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820 CPU @ 3.60GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
Memory: 32768MB RAM
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
Display Memory: 24455 MB
(to note, I don't have background apps running when I'm gaming even though I'm sure I could without any major effects)
Thank YOU - seriously an excellent game for the price. I have a long list available and you've easily captured my attention for more than at least 400 of them.
Thanks for the precise feedback!
About golem damage: when they land after jumps the damage is taken by range, even if you are jumping! Best way to avoid them surely is to dash away.
Thanks for the all! It's great to have such dedicated users in our community!
