Unexplored Switch patch 1.2 live (bigger 1.3 currently in QA).
1.2 Adds:
• Dialog box twin stick info
1.2 Fixes:
• Dark Ritual: achievements & puzzle
• Mithril Run: re-generation issue
• Potential crash when switching floors
• Seed in special runs
• Pedestal behaviour
1.3 is in QA, will solve some more stability issues as well. After that, PC version will also receive the update.
"The patch is now on its way for submission and and should hopefully roll out within a week. "
- The game will "auto save" after 5mins, but only when you go up or down stairs so it wont interrupt game play.
I mean, there should be zero need for autosaving in this game (unless we are trying to cover insane corner cases like blackouts and such, which are not a problem on Switch anyways).
As a developer myself, the fact that they could be introducing such a big feature just to circumvent a much bigger problem is deeply troubling.
Sucks that such a great game, that feels so authentically like a live action brogue, can have so many neglected bugs.
LOL that would be insane.
I just realized now, but I wouldn't mind lending a hand for free to try and get some of these problems ironed out. I wonder if a dev house would ever be ok with such proposal from a random outsider.
I really liked this game the very first time I played it. So many cool and deep mechanics, gameplay is incredibly fun and dynamic... I'm sad it has so many critical problems still :(
Having said that... I'm still hopeful for 1.3. If that doesn't work out, I'll seriously consider going after a refund request.
You can try! That being said I think a developer would be very hesitant to give the source code to a random internet person. For the game nuclear throne a modder got hired to so the final patch for the game but he had made a mod and was well respected by the community already
For working on switch games I think the tools are NDAed as well!
