New switches
I just started a new game and there is a new kind of switch looling like a star??? where I have (I think) to push a sort of rhombus??? into it. The rhumbus has circular collisions and so is far too awkward to push. The real problem, however, is that when I got it near the wall it went through and I lost it...

Not quite sure what you're hinting at. Sounds like a switch controlling a spinner?

I think you are talking about a windmill. There should be a movable rhombus on the level.

To move the rhombus more easily you must unequip you primary or second slot (so it's empty) then stand near the rhombus (and face towards it) and then click to perform an action with the empty hand. You will see a little text appearing "grab", keep holding down the mouse button that corresponds to them empty hand and you will able able to pull the rhombus around. I will leave solving the puzzle up to you.

The rombus going through a wall sounds like a bug, I will test it out if I find another one.

Just as a quick thing, it might be a good idea to have the game explain the whole "grab" mechanic a bit better. It took me forever to figure out it was there, I remember that. I was trying to shove things around by running into them too.

Yes, you are absolutely right. I think it should go into the tutorial. I haven't figured out the best way to do so though.

Why not just use the wind switch thing for that? Have a door that opens only through that, and in a nearby room is the thing that creates the wind, whatever that's called. The player has to pull it over there and point it at the wind switch.

Yes that would be one option. Although I like to keep it simpler. Such as having a chest in front of a door that you need to drag away. Partly because I want to save as many mechanics for the player to explore inside the game.

Speaking of wind gates. How the heck do you get through the first room in seed 1090943212?

It appears to be a simple room with a wind generator and wind switch, but I cannot get either door to open. I've blown out all the torches and even blown myself around a bit, but I cannot seem to affect the switch at all. HELP!?

Hi SekiSelu, what is the difficulty setting and extra options (bosses and or puzzles) for that room? In need those to generate the same level.

Challenging, EDIT: NO extra puzzles, no bosses

You need to grab and drag the wind stone so it is aimed at the wind mill. You can grab it with a free hand and clicking the corresponding mouse button.

I know about grabbing ^_^;;;

Hokay, I did some science. I had previously turned off "Fixed timestep", as it caused occasional walking stutters (pretty bad) and game crashes (very bad).
By turning "Fixed timestep" back on, the door opened A-OK on the first try.
By turning "Fixed timestep" back off, so i can play the rest of the game normally, the door will not open.

Hopefully that helps :)

Wow that is quite odd indeed, I wonder what could be causing such weird behaviour.
