Human Animatronics
What do we call them if they're animatronics, but with a human theme? Human-atronics? Leave an idea to see what we can call them.
EDIT: I'm just going to copy/paste what I just said (two different comments) into here, so you people understand and because I'm too lazy to type it.
Comment 1:
"I didn't expect to get this many replies. I understand now that the term "animatronic" doesn't only mean animals, but just any animated robots. Still, not many people know that, despite all the replies. And even though they are practically the same thing, very few people on this thread have answered the original question: What we should call them, though they are practically the same?"
Comment 2:
"...you see, I didn't realize that the word 'animatronic' doesn't mean it has anything to do with animals, but I just thought that since they aren't animals, we should call them something different. Even though I understand it now, a lot of people don't, and I'm thinking we should have a name for them."
I think we should call them Humanoids, even though that's not what humanoids means, it's still a funny pun, so I'm calling them that. Thanks to Mega Gamer for the idea.

Still, we should at least make a name for them.

Humanimatronics or Maninatronics. For girls it's Womanimatronics.

They're still called animatronics. Animatronics doesn't mean they're animals, it just means they're a robotic character for the purpose of entertainment.

True!

Yes, androids is a good term, as it means "an automaton in the form of a human being" (credit goes to dictionary.com for that one.) Or "automatons" itself would work.

Or if you're drawing them as actual humans, there's the term "gijinka," which is often used in fanart when you're taking a non-human character or inanimate object and re-imagining it as a human being. (I.e. you draw Lightning McQueen as a human guy, or Foxy as a human guy.)

Humanoids or robots. It really does not change the fact that they're still machines.
