Why is she reopening the franchise and murdering people?
Oh, yes it is. But, that was just supposed to be a sort of intro to the thread. It also shows that they never actually say the animatronic is Baby.
Are we in any position to claim that he didn't design them as killing machines, when the blueprints of the animatronics show they have these VERY COMMON (lol) features such as:
- Voice mimicking & LURING
- Storage tanks - Freddy even has the shape of a child inside his belly --> http://67.media.tumblr.com/a2bcbaa98affdd517f4d0ace7356334e/tumblr_inline_oeu4vnM6qs1sxrlc6_1280.jpg
- The scary thing Baby uses to kill Afton's daughter --> http://orig12.deviantart.net/9511/f/2016/285/7/7/1554_by_rydi1689-dakst40.png
There's no way these robots weren't built to kill. Especially considering the fact that SL and Baby's Pizza World was the result of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza success and unfortunate closing. So by the time CBPW opens, Purple man has already killed 6 children: the puppet + the five missing children that led to Freddy's "unfortunate closing".
He is into killing children, he deliberately designed these robots to be killing machines.
I'm not sure why everyone thinks "Didn't you make her just for me?" means that Afton designed Baby to look like his daughter. It simply means Afton told her daughter that he was making an animatronic that was meant to be FOR her, that she would OWN it like a plushie or a doll. That's why she can't get her mind around the fact that even though he said it was built for her, she can't have her or even get close to her. That's the point.
Also, Baby and the rest are now rented to private parties, that's why they have rough days. I had forgotten about that little detail too and I couldn't understand why she'd have a rough day if she was on stage just once, in the past. But yeah, after the Pizza World plan failed due to Baby killing Afton's daughter, they simply continued the business by renting out the animatronics to perform in private parties :)
Because of the tapes in FNaF3 and the Withered animatronics and reopening in 2, we know there had to be a Freddy Fazbear's that closed between these two games. So that gives us our "Due to the closing of Freddy Fazbear's".
We even experience the springlock failure suit at a sister location mentioned in 3 (But as "She" says it's the previous Circus Baby's Pizza World where that happened, though).
It also makes sense that if Ennard is reopening the franchise, that the new toy animatronics are similar to the Circus Baby's designs.
There's also the decour of the house during the aftershift cutscenes that appears similar to that of the house in 4.
FNAF 4 is Fredbear's Family Diner and it coexisted for many years with the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The incidents at Fredbear's in FNAF 4 are what get the springlock suits decommissioned at Freddy's, which created the perfect conditions for Purple man to sneak into Freddy's and use Spring Bonnie to lure and kill the five missing children.
Why do you think Phone guy is forced to remind employees not to wear spring bonnie and not to take customers into the saferoom? Purple man wore S. Bonnie and killed the children in the saferoom = A man dressed up as a cartoon mascot and lured the children to the backroom. Exactly what the newspaper says about the Five missing children incident. Why do you think they boarded up the saferooms in such a hurry? Because they realized the murders had taken place there. Having an off-camera room where murders took place would get them shut down in less than it takes to say Fazbear. They boarded the saferoom up with Spring Bonnie inside. That way they got rid of the murder location and the murder weapon and they managed to get away from the tragedy until months later, when the corpses started rotting and they got shut down over sanitation.
Both Fredbear's and the first Freddy's were in business as sister locations for many years (hence the teaser saying "Sister Location: there was never just one"). FNAF 4 shut down due to the Fredbear crunch and Freddy's got shut down after the five missing children incident. That is the "unfortunate closing" of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza that they're referring to in FNAF: Sister Location. It's the first Freddy's, the one before FNAF 2, the one where the old models (withered Freddy, Foxy, Chica, Bonnie and Golden Freddy) come from.
It's fitting that Purple man's business CBPWorld and the rental business was able to occupy the market due to the closing of Freddy's, especially considering the fact that Freddy's closed due to Purple man's mass murders. He foced his way into the market lol.
Ennard and the rest of animatronics are DESPERATE to get out of that underground prison because they're forced to kill children every single day. They don't want to kill children. But they're willing to kill adults if it helps them escape that hell.
So there's no reason why Ennard would open FNAF 2 (apart from it being too silly of a concept) to kill more children. Because, as you remember, Purple man kills 5 more children in FNAF 2. So you have 2 contradictions in your theory, Purple man was a mere night guard in FNAF 2 - not the CEO; and he was killing children, which Ennard doesn't want to do.
For a long time I thought the cutscene minigames of the animatronics in 2 were showing events that didn't happen, under the assumption the Puppet was the real villain making these up to get the animatronics to attack. But, Sister Location is clearly showing that the purple guy is a threat.
So let's bring back an old theory from FNaF2. What if there are two purple guys, Afton and Henry?
The purple guy in the FNaF2 and FNaF3 cutscenes is Afton. He did kill children like you said, and is the one charged but set free again as mentioned in the news in FNaF1. He ends up getting killed off in the Springtrap suit. One difference from your theory though, is that I think Afton being killed in the Springtrap suit is happening during FNaF2. That is what Phone Guy means by someone using a yellow suit. Also I can't remember if it was directly stated on Night 4 or if this was somewhere else, but "She" does actually allude to the springlock failure being an event other than the ending of FNaF4, and it taking place at a previous Circus Baby's Pizza World.
Henry who is the creator of the animatronics like in the book, and the father of the girl that is speaking in Sister Location, decides to investigate after learning that Afton was a child murderer. Henry then gets killed at the end of Sister Location and becomes the other purple guy in FNaF2, the one that crashes the game saying "you can't".
Now I still think that the animatronic AI that takes Henry's body is the same one that killed his daughter, and that this animatronic is actually evil. Because the animatronics haunted by the dead children still attack even after Afton gets killed by the Springtrap suit. I also don't think this purple guy is the nightguard of 2, because how and why would the dead children kill this animatronic purple guy if it isn't evil or look like the same person that killed them? No, I think that this animatronic purple guy is carrying on Afton's killing spree and the dead children are still trying to stop it, but they can't because this purple guy is an animatronic and can control them.
This animatronic reopens the franchise gets a few child victims, and once investigations start, kills off a nightguard to take their skin and take on a new identity, and then closes the franchise. A few years later it reopens the franchise again in a new form. . . and the cycle repeats.
