If Afton is destined later on to become springtrap, but in the end is scooped on night 5 then how could he ever become spring trap? What do you guys think!

As the book described, he seems and looks dead. He has saggy skin and inhuman movements and has scars all over his body. What I think is that he haunts the endoskeleton that was placed inside of his dead corpse.

EDIT:To add on to this, he has said that he is "one of them".

But,the question is could an endosketeton could control another animatronic, and we never see a second endoskeleton in springtrap either.

After you said that, I went over to google and took a look at the Anniversary image of Springtrap and you're right. There's not another endo-skeleton. I guess those scars could've come from something else.

EDIT:I don't think we play as Afton but we do indeed play as someone who is somehow related to him.

what it seems is happening, is Afton's corpse is being used as a disguise (kids in a trench coat style) and that the endo-stuffed corpse is crushed in the spring trap suit. this would also make Springtrap more explainable because it seemed a little weird if it was just a body and not this Endo-Afton entity

It has to tie to the book in some ways because Afton is antagionist in the book.

The game ends with the player/Mr. Afton becoming a human disguise for Ennard. Basically it's saying Purple Guy is an animatronic disguising itself as Afton. It's implied that it is Afton as Ennard says you came there to find her (his daughter who was killed presumably by Baby).

It would mean that Springtrap is an animatronic, in a human suit, in a springlock suit. The only sort of inconsistency with that is that purple guy bleeds when the locks go off, but it does actually explain details in Springtrap's design.

It would also mean that an animatronic is the cause of the murders, and not actually Mr. Afton.

Both the book and the games connect, remember Scott never does something with out a reason.

purple guy is purple because the skin is dead, the ennard endoskeleton took control of springtrap and wants to kill for some reason.
