Bite of '83 confirmed.
The 1983 keypad easter egg in the fake ending of Sister Location confirms that the bite in FNaF4 is in fact the bite of '83.

Just because you randomly type 1983 and an easter egg appears, it doesn't mean FNaF 4 takes place in '83.
In FNaF 1 if you "type" in the custom night 1 9 8 7 you get a jumpscare, does FNaF 1 take place in 1987? No.

FNaF 4 takes place in 1987, it shows the bite of '87, get over it.

I don't think you get it. In fnaf 1, the jumpscare was just to get rid of a rumour about a secret ending. Nothing more. However, SL STARTED with this easter-egg, plus, it would make NO sense for it to just be there. 1983 was a big deal, and for it to be a code that shows you the fnaf 4 rooms, there is no chance it's just some coincidence.

FNaF 4 takes place in 1983, and shows the bite of '83, get over it.

I don't think you get it. In fnaf 1, the jumpscare was just to get rid of a rumour about a secret ending. Nothing more. However, SL STARTED with this easter-egg, plus, it would make NO sense for it to just be there. 1983 was a big deal, and for it to be a code that shows you the fnaf 4 rooms, there is no chance it's just some coincidence.

I'd personally say that the 1983 keypad thing, as well as the "1983" in the TV during the FNaF4 minigames is enough evidence. If FNaF4 takes place in 1987, how do the withered animatronics even happen? Fredbear's is in FNaF4, meaning Fredbear's would be in 1987, along with FNaF2.

Except that particular easter egg was placed in only after Scott decided to end the rumor of something special happening when you place that in for FNAF 1's custom night. SL's easter egg seems to actually hold relevance to the lore.

1. The Obvious 1983 keypad thing
2. In the FNaF 1 phone call, we learn that the bite of 87 was in the frontal lobe. However, in FNaF 4 night 5, The childs entire head was crushed, not just the lobe. Mangle aims for your frontal lobe in her jumpscare, which is in 1987. I think it's pretty easy to put the puzzle together.
