Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location

Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location

Subtitles
So i know the past games dont have subtitles, and i dont think they should, but i feel like sister location would need subtitles because someone who might play may be deaf. The other games dont use voices for the actual game play, except for a few minor sounds and stuff, but its still possible to win the game without sound, except if this new game has voices in the gameplay, i feel like there should be an option subtitle mode.

It's ok. :) My foster brother was deaf and had to have hearing aids on both of his ears. Sometimes he couldn't tell music from other background noises unless he turned it up very loud. :) I don't know a lot of Sign language but he did teach me some of the easy words and the alphabet. He loved games but I don't think he would be able to play this game passed night 2 and he would probably need help. Unless he turned it up very loud as he can't wear headphones.

I'm just hoping Scott can add toggleable dialogue-only subtitles in an update. I'm sure it's do-able. Reading the transcripts online and experiencing them first-hand ingame are totally different things. The keypad and directions given on Night 5 are almost impossible for deaf players.
A deaf person couldn't even play the game anyways.
The game has some sound based elements, but not as much as FNAF 4.
If they tried to play, they would be stuck on those parts.

I'm deaf, and I'm not stuck on those parts. If a deaf person has hearing aids, they can hear. Speech is a difficult one for a whole bunch of different reasons, when listening to it without lipreading or subtitles, it's hard to connect the dots and can be compared to listening to a foreign language. I've completed FNaF 1-4 just fine. They didn't rely on dialogue based instructions as heavily as this one does. (Just please try not to make assumptions on what deaf people can or cannot do. It's different for everybody of course, no disability is black and white, it's a spectrum.)

Yeah, man. It might be possible to play the regular story, but the Custom Night would be a shoot for the moon.

Especially on the later presets, and don't you think that having subtitles and non-auditory cues warning you, for example, when Ballora is approaching would take the fun and challenge out of it?

I kinda agree that sl should have subtitles. But for deaf players, it would be hard for them to earn 3 stars. And they prob won't pass night 2 from Ballora.
