Would I be able to monetize a FNaF fangame?

I don't necessarily want to but something struck my mind. I was thinking no so I kept it on off but would I be allowed if I decided I wanted to?

I don't want to be monetizing a game which isn't 100% my idea.

Actually - I need to rephrase this.

I kept the monetise option disabled until confirmation. I really wouldn't want to monetise a game which isn't 100% my idea.

I do usually get paranoid and am a bit of a pet for law and stuff. I'm glad that I asked questions before I acted.

If you put it on game jolt you can get add rent. Scott has said add rent is ok as long as no one is paying for the game.

I'm probably going to not even monetise it. I mean - money isn't everything for a video game and my first few games are gonna be meh. So I'll keep it at that.

You can't sell any games which use anything that is copyrighted. If it was all your idea like with Case Animatronics you can.
