Silver eyes IS NOT CANON TO THE ORIGINAL GAMES
The book is its own canon!

THE ORIGINAL GAMES ARE NOT CANON TOO THE BOOK. Fnaf sl and silver eyes MAYBE RELATED OR SL IS RELATED TO THE ORIGINAL GAMES. (Or sl IS NEW CANON.) Nothing has been confirmed so far on SL!

He's telling the people that the book isn't canon to the games and SL MIGHT be canon to the book.

So are you saying that even though a character named "Mr. Afton" was mentioned in the game, there's no reason to believe that he's the Mr. Afton from the Silver Eyes, and therefore we have no reason to believe that he's the Purple Guy?

Now ... every game\book ecc... created officially is canon in its own .
The quadrilogy is canon to itself,FNaF World is canon in its universe, FNaF4HE is canon in itself, Silver Eyes is canon in itself (but share some parts with the quadrilogy universe, but we don't know which of this parts), SL is.... I don't know ... I don't remember Scott said something about it...

Could be his son, father brother etc.
