It's the same reason why Undertale has so much hate. Hell, it's the same reason why everything has so much hate. The internet isn't made up of intelligent people, but rather people who decide that their point of view is the best one and that all others are wrong. Basically people who think that they are the center of the universe.

However, it would be false to say that at least the people who actually look at first-hand source material (i.e. games, books, or other canon elements produced by the creator of the franchise) have a somewhat valid point. Sure, FNAF has its flaws. The harder modes (i.e. every final challenge in the game, and even some of the normal nights) are way too hard. FNAF 4, Night 5. Nightmare Fredbear is introduced to the player with no buildup. No starting level. There's no Night 1-4 style of gameplay for it, and as such makes defending against it much more difficult. The laughs for movement to the Closet and Bed are inconsistant. The footsteps can be misleading. NFB's normal movement is hellish to get down.

But then again, people who actually use valid sources of information don't exist. Instead, it's just:
"o wow fanf is so cring go ♥♥♥ u ♥♥♥♥♥ loosr"
"WOW U LIKE FNAF UR SO GAY GO FUC YURSELF"
"Your so cringey, im going to constantly judge you bc you like Fnaf."
People on the internet instantly judge you for everything. It's their standard operating procedure, their default settings. And they show no intention of changing. But, again, it's not just FNAF, it's basically everything.

And it's not even the first-hand source material that gets judged; it's the content made by the community. Enter: Rule 34, animations (especially ones with clickbait, Minecraft, memes, etc.), fanart, and screaming 4-year-olds obsessed with the said source material. THAT is where the hate comes from.

And then there's me. Some random guy who probably has biased points of view. I'll admit, I may have a good bit of bias to my name. And I willingly admit it. But the people who think that their opinion is a solid fact will do the exact opposite. They won't admit that they're biased. They'll defend their point of view to their grave. And it's because they don't think. Or rather, they don't think rationally. Instead, they have the irrational thoughts about how FNAF is bait for furry porn and screaming toddlers, the definition of cringe, and so on.

This is proof of how both the internet is a royally biased place and how I have waaaaaay too much time on my hands if I just sit here to write out, by standards of the internet, an entire lecture. I think I might need something to do.
